I had some good reasons for being out for 10 months, I even sent whole puch of supporting documents showing that i did not abandon my residency

I just want to be more clear,

I did name cahnge & been out the US for 10 months.

For being out for 10 months, i waited 10 months after my eligibility date to make up my time

I did Name change ( Minor one, just fixing my last name spelling)

Reno office is rocking and rolling ( less than 4 months process )

Got My oath letter, it is on July 25,2014

Hello VJ's,

I need your help and advice with my math
I got my green card on 8/10/2010
I stayed with my 5 months preganant wife for 1 month in the US ( left 9/3/2010, Wife was employed overseaes before i got my immigrant visa)
went back to egypt for almost 299 days( to have the baby there beacuse our overseaes insurance and to finish contract)
We came back to the US on 6/29/2011( stamped passport with OUT FOR 10 MONTHS), and we did not leave since that date.
I am thinking to apply for citizeship soon may be next month March 2014
( My wife is USC ) so i am appling based on the 3 years period.
Can you advice me if i am in the safe side to apply. is my math wright?

I did the math this way

Became LPR 8/10/2010..........> if we ignore the fact that i have been absebt for 10 months.....> should be eligible for citizenship on 8/10/2013 or 90 days earlier

if we are going with the 2 years +1 rule after breaking continoues residence( 6/29/2011 date we came back) ................> 8/30/2013

That does not make any sense to me beacuse the two eligibelity dates are 20 days apart

OK, if we went the other way from 6/29/2011..............> today date 02/24/2014 = 2 years, 7 months, and 26 days.

Should i wait , or go head and fill my N400

I'd been out the states for 10 months which is 300 days So August 2013 + 10 months absence = somewhere July 2014 ( Is my math right )

first of all i am gonna tell my story then i will ask my question

I Married to US citizen and have been resident since August 2010 ( this what is written on my green card ). the bad news that we left the US for 10 months from September 2010 till July 2011

So my questions is that when can i apply for citizenship 1- ( i think it is the right time ) is July 2014

2- August 2013

FWI : i didn't intend to abandon my residency it was too much going on ( wife was pregnant , Revolution in Egypt where we lived...ETC)

Today August 10,2010 I got my visa and will look 4 flight to hurry up 4 my family ( my lovely wife and my adorable son)

SO from june 26 ( 1st interview ) and July 6 ( 2nd interview Redo finger prints ) it is almost 1.5 months of AP.

Yes , Ha can move it , I filled my petition in the Philippines and had my case transferred to Cairo,Egypt

But he should have residence in the host country at least 6 months .

Hi guys I need your opinions about my visa's issuance

I had my interview on June 24,10 and was told approved and will receive my visa within 2-3 weeks then i paid for Delivery at DHL desk

I sent Email to embassy in Cairo and asked them what's going on still my DHL Devilry track # is Schedule for Delivery as agreed

and their response was "

Thank you for your e-mail message.

Please note that the case is still pending consular officer’s review.

I want to explian my situation and need your help, I have couple questions :

First, My Situation :

I am Syrian man and married to US citizen

We are both living in a third Country ( Philippines where my wife is working ),and we applied for immigrant visa in US embassy in Manila on Feb,6,2008 Through DCF and we were informed that we will get answer for our petition within 6 months- 2 years and we have no problem with that because we are not planning to live in USA .

But, summer vacation is coming and my wife's parents want to meet me and I want to meet them and spend the 1.5 months vacation in the states .

So i applied for tourist visa and am scheduled next month SO

MY QUESTIONS

1- will i get automatical refuse cuz i had immigrant petition?

2- i know that the consulate officers are looking for strong TIES to Philippines where i am living, but Iam not philipina , I am syrian and live here and i have ACR ( alein certificate regestriation) for Phli.and I have a bank account in the philippines

Is this enough?

3. Should my wife come to the interiew with me? Will it help?

The fact that your U.S. spouse is residing permanently in the Philippines will probably help your case for the tourist visa. Your application for an immigrant visa may have the opposite effect. Why are you trying to get an immigrant visa if you don't plan on being a resident of the U.S.? Immigrant visas are for those that plan to reside in the U.S.

Really i don't know , why we went to the immigrant visa directions

may be because i and my wife are not good in choosing the correct visa ( after awhile , i knew K3 visa is the suietable visa for me )

can i cancle my immigrant visa I-130 petition ?
