A friend is a LPR. He is employed full time. He is thinking about putting out a word about a side consulting gig. He's curious if it is ok to put the word out (website etc.) about the consulting gig - give it a name "XYZ consulting etc." and see if there is any interest via Google ads etc. If there's any interest and anyone reaches out, he may then figure out whether or not, and how to proceed given his current employment etc. He just wants to gauge the market. Does he need to register the consulting site somewhere (like form a LLC etc.) before advertising it out on the internet?
However, if he just puts out the word and a site and never really accepts any real work/payment, would trying to get the consulting work need to be disclosed in the N400 in employment section?
How can he best navigate this?
