  1. Good morning all!! I just wanted to touch base with some of you recent filers. I mailed off my K-1 packet on April 1st. According to my tracking info, it was received on April 5th. I received a text from USCIS stating my case was received with a WAC receipt number on April 9th. This text notice also said an official Receipt Notice (Form I-797C) will follow in the mail. It's now April 28th and I've not received anything in the mail. I'm not sure if I this is typical, just slow moving mail process and keep waiting and watching the mail, or if I should have received something physical in regards to this process by now. Thoughts?
  2. Thank you everyone for your feedback. Next question, did you organize your documentation/application requirements in a folder? Like clear front folder with prongs? Again I feel I saw a discussion stating the processors don't want folders, but without something like that how did you secure all your documents together? And the passport size photos of each individual, did you put these in a clear bag or scan these in a document like the proof of relationship photos? How long were your submissions? Like your letter of how you met. I had a friend advise me to keep it short, around a page long. I was as brief as I could be and it's about 2 pages long instead. And I have about 5 pages of photos, but could easily add more of us together. How much is too much. I don't want to over do it, but don't want to be too brief that it raises questions. I'm sorry for all the questions 😅😂 Just getting close to being ready to send this out and trying to get all my ducks in a row and organized as logically as possible for smooth processing. Thank you!
  3. Hey all! I'm still working on assembling all the documentation to submit my K-1 visa packet. I'm at the point of compiling photos of us together with their descriptions. The directions listed on visa journey are to lable the photos and place in a clear bag and attach to a paper. However, I feel that I have read forum discussions that say not to this. That tape, paperclips, and stables are a nuisance from the processors end and not advised. I think I saw recommendations of assembling photos with descriptions and then making a quality color photo copy of this one page. Is this what most people are doing? Or what did you guys with successfully accepted applications do for your photo documentation of meeting and proving relationship?
  4. You are amazing ❤️ thank you
  5. Hi all! I'm trying to gather all my data and complete my K-1 packet to request my fiance to come over from Peru. I have a question regarding the Fiance letter of Intent. I see the example that visa journey has of this letter and was using that as a guide. My question is in the section that says United States department of homeland security US citizenship and immigration services, what address is supposed to be listed under that? Is it the lock box address where I mail this entire application packet to? Or is there a different address that I'm just not understanding. Also, is my fiance's letter of intent that he sends to me to be included in the original application request going to have the same address and Dept of homeland security/Immigration services info? Or does his need his consult in his country? We may be totally over thinking this but any direction would be appreciated. Thank you!
