Sandrila, are you saying that your man got a K3 visa already, but is going for a CR1? The CR1 is better, true, but if the K3 is in hand, why didn't you run with that? I'm not sure I understand . . . ?

Yes, we were so excited to receive to the K3 visa on April 10th BUT with the advice of our attorney, he told us to stay put there and wait for the CR1, which is what we really wanted. I wanted to have him come immediately with the K3 and had really argued with the attorney over it BUT he was firm in his advice to us. I was scared to pass up on the K3 but the lawyer stated how much money it would be to finish CR1 here AND more red tape so we had him stay back. He actually got the interview date the SAME day he received the K3 visa.

Also, upon returning home from VISA IN HAND, he realized they put his birthdate incorrect on it.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, what could we really do at that point...should we risk him coming with that mistake and forgo the interview we really needed? I dont know and still dont know.

I have a phone conference with the lawyer tomorrow and should know more.

Is a IR1 the same as CR1....I swear as this process goes further I am more and more confused.

Well, after over 4 weeks my fiance finally received his visa yesterday He will be joining me here tomorrow evening. Thanks again VJ!!

Badr called me this morning at 6 to wake me up for work and told me that he got his packet. He didn't even open it yet. He waited to open it while I was on the phone with him. So we have an interview date of July 7th. I'll probably be flying out July 3rd to be with him. I know it's not required, but our case is a little different. And hopefully he can fly home with me.

I'm so excited, I can't even concentrate at work. lol

NVC sent the letter out about two weeks ago. I still did not receive it.

How long does it take to have interview letter from NVC. If my wife does not receive the letter, Can i send my copy for her Medical exam in HO CHI MINH city? If someone done it , please share your experience. Thank you guys.

I was reading old post and realised that nowhere on the my husbands application did I see a place to put the name of my child.Was I supposed to put his name somwhere on the I130, if not how or where did other people put the names of there children, or how did the consulate know they had a child?Was it because it was put on the Aff of support under dependants?Or did I miss this part ?

Hi everyone, I was reading about everyone printing there logs and having so many pages.When i got ready to print mine , all i have is like 75 pages for 2 years.all it says is called at this time , call answered, mic sent, cam sent, but we didnt type anything at all except for mabey hey or something like this.Did anyone else do this?We have the emails we sent to each other daily but as far as the logs it is just the 75 pages not reams like other people discribe.IS there something else I should prepare or this is just normal.Thanks for any input

Did your significant other have to have their passport translated.My husband went to translate the other diocuments and the translator informed him that his passport needed to be translated.He posted the same question before and was told there was no need to translated his passport.Anyone have any experiance in this department ; pls help.Thanks so much in advance

hey everyone, my wife and I didnt understand how to file the ds230 , everything was good but when we get in the questions about the "father and mother" and " sons&daughter" we didnt understand it!!! which one of us should put the name of his parents and children me or her??? she is the petitioner and its me who should file it but when we get in this questions we stoped because they give no infos about this " all what they say everyone accompaging me should file with me" we are very confused plzz helppppp

im thinking you surely have already considered this point, there is a chart that tells income levels for the number of people involved

how much money the petitionner should have as a Household Income because as i see the Officer will look just at this point and see if its enough or i ll need a cosponsering

The consulates are not concerned with the beneficiary's financial or employment situation, only the US Citizen petitioner's ability to support the immigrant once they are in the USA, this is proven when US Citizen provides I-864 to NVC in the case of CR-1/IR-1 visa.

Since my husband in China is a lab technician and is woking for a company that invents and sells chemical, will this raise a red flag to during background check? Also, when speaking of background check in China, what exactly are they looking for? Just to see if the person committed crimes previously? We are very worry. I even tell my husband to consider switching to different department at work.

so u think what i have is enought, we got our joint bank accnt from " El bank Chaâbi, bank Popluaire" all u need is a moroccan Id to get this go to the police station in morocco and ask for the paper work.this id allows for u to remain there for morethan 3 months, were u abble buy an inssurance for ur husband ? we tried and could not, if u did, from where and what kind?

I am not sure how much is enought proof as of now i have approx 500emails, 75ecards,80 pages of Msn tchat logs, almost 300 pictures including wedding party' it was just with my imediat family and my wife" affidativ from her family explaining their opinion about our marriage, wedding annoncment, a joint bank account , copies of 2 different types of credit card under both of our names, a scrapbook, bording passes, train ticket, passport stamps, and about 10 letters, recipt of wedding rings, affidativ from my fathers friend, copy of moroccan Id of my wife" for her showing that she had the permission to be in morocco".

any suggestions, i am really worried from reading all these posts.

we are going to have the interview Incha-allah in casablanca and reading what ever body wrote here about the embassy I was wondraning if its possible to send more proof of our marriage with packet 3 before the consulat gets it

we only sent a marriage certificat thats it. i thought that all evidence was to be presented to the officer at the interview.
