In a couple of days you will receive the hard copy of your NOA2 from VSC. Call the number for VSC which is written on the NOA2 - they will tell you when your case has been received at NYC and give you your NVC case # - that is the first step.

I am a US citizen and my husband is a conventional refugee in Canada. We got married in November 2007 in Texas, US and we filed I-30 along with G-325A in the same month. In February 2008 I received I-797C notice of Action from Vermont Immigration Centre saying that the application was received. I am wondering what should I do next? Do I have to file any other forms or should I continue waiting?

Also, my husband is a linguist and he has some availalble jobs that he can apply but they all of them require EAD or work permit. Can my husband apply for EAD/work permit in this situation?

If you haven't filed the I-129F for K3 visa yet. DON"T. Stick with the I-130 [CR-1] and forget about the K3. CR-1 is a MUCH< MUCH better visa in ALL ways!

I am sorry but I am confused. Isnt I-30 also for K3 Visa? By the way, what is [CR-1] ?
