finally, we received card production ordered email on friday night. yaaaay. now just the wait for the cards.
i also just checked the i485 received a touch today as well.
-
still nothing here. no update nothing.
-
still waiting here. almost 30 days since interview and not a single touch. LUD on I485 was march 20th. this is getting ridiculous
-
oops quoted wrong one
The bluest skies you'll ever see are in Seattle. It is just not the best place to file for AOS.....are you sure you dont mean the greyest skies....lol....

had my interview yesterday, it was quick, maybe 10 mins, asked some q's, asked for supporting documentation, took some of our pics, and said thats it. didnt say if approved or not. said expect "something" in the mail "sometime". so we are really confused and a litttle frustrated. seattle office is ridiculous. another filer who had interview yesterday got approved, passport stamped and all yesterday, us.....nothing. also i have had no updates on my i458 since march. i guess we just wait now, atleast theres nothing left for us to do, hopefully.
-
did you guys get approved on the spot??? seems a lot of seattle people not getting approved on the spot or passports stamped.
-
our interview is this week. in seattle on thursday morning. getting a little nervous and flustered to get everything together now. does anyone know if they take away the pictures you bring to show them?
-
I received my interview letter. I seriously jumped up and down!!!
The date is October 17th at 1pm, right during my state training. I hope my boss will be okay with that.
I hope everyone else will get that precious letter!!
Ps: there was this notice to applicant, "have you ever been convicted of a crime?etc..." along with the notice to appear for initial interview.
congrats, seattle is seriously messed up, i get my IL before you but ID is after. wierd., but still congrats. were almost there
-
congrats all, and i finally have news to report. received IL yesterday in the mail. Interview scheduled for october 30th at 9am. interview letter for my wife only, not one for my son, will he get one or will it just be an all in one interview and we take our son to this one as well? anyone know?
-
me, since i just posted frustration yesterday. lol. not its not goin that bad.
-
NO UPDATE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
still no IL here. seattle office is really sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.
-
still no IL. not touches on i485 since 3/20.....
-
atleast our eads an aps seem in order, lili you applied a few days before me, got ead and ap few days before, shadow you applied few days after me and got ead and ap few days after. but thats NBC doin there job. we can just hope and wait for IL. who knows, we may have in on the same day.
-
still just waiting here. seattle is so slow so ive heard. could be a few more months before seeing IL...we are not too worried because AP and EAD serve its purpose. but it would be good to get it over with for now. until 751.
-
still no new updates on IL here.....but life is good with wife working now and being able to visit her family and friends in canada. not too worried about the interview letter right now.

Nice! Which border crossing?
peace arch border crossin enterin blaine,wa from vancouver,bc canada
-
Well my wife and son have nexus for land border crossing at canada-us border. the first time we entered back to the US using AP we had to go inside for about 30min to get evyerthing stamped and stuff, the next time we used nexus just to see what would happen, and the guy said we are allowed to use nexus as long as the papers are stamped. i just wanted to let people know because i was told on this forum previously that they could not ever use the nexus with AP.

for what I know , as soon you get your EAD, you have to go back to SS# to change your status...my advice is go back there and show your EAD card
That advice is incorrect. They won`t change the card wording until she gets her green card.
Uh oh..lol..mass confusion setting in Do I HAVE to go down to the SS office yet?**smacks self in head** I would hate to go apply for a job and find out I have to have my status updated first(we all know how slow the gov't can be) but I would HATE HATE to go sit there for 3 hours to be told theres nothing to be done yet...
S
Like you I already had my SSN and it said the same thing. I didn't bother to go to the SSA and I have a job. So I don't think you need to go because it would probably be a waste of time because you aren't going to be filling out any forms and they won't give you a new card.
Thank you so much! you just saved me a much dreaded unnecessary trip!(the last time I was at the SS office..it took FOREVER!!)
S
i suggest you go to the SS office and update it and tell them you are able to work now. and i do think they will give you a new card that say authorized to work. because some employers want to see the SS card not just the EAD card. you have to update your SS regardless anytime your status or situation changes. when you get EAD, green card, naturalize, i believe you have to update it with them. I may be wrong, but if i was you i would play it safe and make sure to update it with them.

no touches on aos, but i130 was touched today. so was i765 and i131 even though we have received them almost 2 weeks ago.

According to my lawyer, USCIS is under a lot of (political) pressure to process several thousand naturalization cases as a priority since this is election year and the pending naturalization candidates are all potential votes. Because of this, other USCIS work will take a lower priority.
The above is the personal opinion of my lawyer - not a general opinion, but I wanted to share this with the rest of the group in case anyone was interested.
thats what im thinkin too, and i bet most of it has to do with the fact that they are pressuring the FBI to complete all the backlogged background and name checks for naturalization and so they are leaving everything else aside and since there not cleared yet no interviews are being scheduled, and even if you have an interview scheduled, seems most people lately have been told there background check has not cleared. i dont see most of us getting interviews til late this year or early next year. i dont really care as long as its before the ead and AP expire. and for those of you that didnt file EAD and AP, its not too late, i would do that if i was u.

Also touched today. Crossing my fingers for you Liz to get another touch.
our have not been touched since bio as well, that was on 3/20

thanks for the info everybody. the same day my wife received her EAD she went to the SSN office and applied for it for both my son and herself. they did not tell her anything except that it should come within ten day, if it doesnt come within 2 weeks to call them. would they have told her that her EAD isnt in the system yet if they couldnt process it and if there would be a longer wait? its just that she needs it asap cause she has been offered a job but they arent letting her start until she has the actuall SSN card.
I applied for SSN after i received my EAD, though the SSA employee said that i have to wait 30 days, i got my SSN card on the mail in 10 days .cool, hopefully we will get ours fast too. so you had no SSN before that.
-
I was wondering, did any of you that did not have an SSN until you got your EAD, wait any time after you received the EAD before you applied for the SSN or did you go right away. Please let me know if you applied right away and how long it took to get it. And also if you waited, how long did you wait, and how long did it take to receive.

woooohooooooooo finally done, atleast until 2 years for my wife, my son received 10 year green card. received them on saturday. they were probably help up as mail delivery was delayed due to the bad weather here. who knows, doesnt matter, we got them now. the only question i have is.....at the interview we asked if we could changed my wifes last name to mine on the greencard and the lady said yes, but the card came with her last name on it. do you think itll be too much of a hassle to change it, or should we just wait til we do removal of conditions???
