  1. Thanks...I was thinking the same thing..she told my wife she was ready to go back...I think she is confident she can do it now. The DS 160 doesn't ask about her childern or grandkids...so she never talked about it, they only asked if she was married.

  2. I know they asked if she was married..but I don't think they asked about any other childern she had....I am fairly certain she didn't sell herself very well at the interview. It happened last night so I don't have the actual denial reason. But I assume its the lack of evidence.

  3. My mother in law was just turned down for a B2 Visa, I assume she did not have enough proof for the consolate. Can anyone give me some examples of documents that a successful B2 Visa was approved. Does anyone bring photos of family or other stuff.

Any help would be great...we want to apply again..hopefully with more documents...(biggest problem her mother doesn't work)

  4. My wife and I are planning to travel back to Thailand in Nov. to see her parents and show them their new granddaughter. Has anyone traveled with an infant and what are the challenges? Right now we are looking to hold her in our laps for the flight, but its a long flight but it will save a $1000.00.

  5. Could you find her a US Boyfriend?

It's crazy but that is probably the best option. It would have been worth the try...she is a college graduate still looking for a good job.

  6. Her cousin is like her sister...they basically lived across the street from each other their whole lives. But its a culture you are not familiar with...besides I would rather have family watching my child then a stranger any day..

  7. My wife and I are having a baby in about 6 months. She thought it would be a good idea to bring her cousin to the US to help take care of the baby. Is this a hard thing to do? And what kind of visa should I be pursuing?

    Thanks for any feedback

  8. Really? Someone else on here would have to verify that since Rin and I got married in Bangkok. Do you have a link to an official website that says a Thai citizen has to register at the Amphur if you get married overseas before the marriage is official?

To be safe, she is going to change her Thai ID and get all the stamps done, but we will wait to get the passport changed when we come back to the states. Some of this stuff can be fuzzy..and no one can ever give a striaght answer when you call them. Thanks for the info...your right it will be easier to do it here.

  9. I'm not too sure about that..we still have to do the paperwork in Thailand at the Amphur for it to be offical. We are going to be there 3 weeks so we plan to do it all when we get there. I figure if she uses her passport name for the tickets, we should be able to show the wedding certificate in Thai and english if there are any problems at the airport. Once we get to the US its all about the greencard anyway.

  10. I will give you guys a run down on how it unfolded, we spent about an hour in the waiting room until we were called in and then sat in a room with one guy who had all of our paperwork in front of him. He first swore us in so that now we have to tell the truth (haha). He looked through his packet and asked a few basic questions....actually he really didn't ask any questions but more of a clarification of facts so it was like you met your husband here right? and you were never married right? He did that for about 5mins and then he started circling things and signing stuff. He finally got to the basic question list where you say no to everything, but of course my wife didn't understand all the words so we got hung up on terrosits and plane hijacking...what a place to get hung up on, so after we got a laugh he stamped the approved on the paperwork and that was it.....I brought 2 big envelopes of stuff and never had to open them except for the passports for ID purposes and POE date that was it...no pictures, no proof of marriage..nothing..I guess I can't ###### too much..its over..:dancing::dance:

However, I was impressed with the casework..they had everything I ever sent( change of address, letters from RFE. letters to clarify my chnage of interview)

  11. First of all I would like to thank you all for all your sympathy and condolences during our time of grieving and pains. I am still in pain and from time to time I can`t help myself but to cry. How did you present your AP at immigration? What line did you use? US or other?

  12. The ICE are not interested in people who are following the process, The NOA of the AOS stops the clock and puts you in a safe zone, but to carry all that paperwork is just asking to misplace it. I put all my wifes stuff in our Fire proof safe and left it there until we needed it. I just took her to the department of Motor Vechiles and got her an ID card so she could go places (bank, Bar, casinos, etc....places that require ID's)
