  1. i got tired of waiting for mailman with my ead, and since my account can't be accessed in the uscis website, i did the next best thing, i called the uscis this morning.

i was able to talk to a lady staff, but after giving her a few info to ascertain my identity, she transferred me to another dept. she was pretty nice and courteous. the next staff i talked to was a guy. again, i was asked for a few things to prove my identity: name, alien number, address, etc. etc.

essentially, he had nothing new to say, other than what i already knew, that they received my applications 30th of july; that i had my biometrics 26th of august. he said, if i won't receive my ead by november, i should call again! hmnnn....

oh yes, at least he told me that there appears to be nothing wrong with the papers i sent, it's just that they are processing a lot.

just venting.... i can't wait to drive again..it has been frustrating not being able to go to the grocery on my own since i dont have a license here yet... and yes, i can't wait to work again... and shop without feeling guilty that i'm spending my husband's hard earned money...

Hi there. Since my biometrics on August 23rd, I havent gotten any touches or updates at all from USCIS about my case. I got worried because looking from other people's timelines, they got touches or updates from USCIS after their biometrics. I received nothing for almost two months! My husband called them and they said that my paperwork was received July 31st and everything looks fine, no RFEs were sent and that they are still on their 90-day timeframe to process. If I dont hear from them after 90 days, then I should call them again for a service request. So we were fine. I know a fellow Filipina who is an August AOS filer and the day after her biometrics, she got an update or a "touch" for her AOS and EAD, and then 3 or 4 days later, "touches" again. Wait a minute, I am a month ahead of her and we live in the same area, CA. My husband decided to call USCIS again. This time, this very nice customer rep said that my AOS and EAD applications are at the National Benefits Center at the moment. The problem is, it shows on her computer that the ASC where I had my biometrics somehow didnt update at all that I had it done and that the NBC is waiting for that. But if my biometrics wasnt done at all, their system would have send automatically a mail to have it done again, which was weird. So she said that their office could have just "probably" forgotten to send that information to NBC, that they're office is just slow down there or some worker there messed up. To make it short, all this time my paperwork is just sitting there at the NBC and not being worked on. The customer rep advised us to schedule an InfoPass to know what's really happening. That's what we did. We scheduled an InfoPass for Friday and we'll see what's going to happen next. I have read timelines of other VJ members who never got any touches or updates at all from USCIS after their biometrics and they just got their EAD/GC card in the mail after two to three months. That's good news. However, I just want to make sure that I'm not waiting for nothing at all. Probably the InfoPass would give us some answers.

  4. I was surprised when I was asked for a Baptismal Certificate during the pre-screening and good thing I have it. So for all of you who will have your interview...just ready your Baptismal Certificate too :D .

Hi Banananut! You were interviewed on April 29th, right? I was there too. My queing number was 7040. :) I hated that cranky Viatnamese/Korean woman assigned at window 33 for finger scanning! :bonk:

  5. I have been reading many of these posts and I am starting to get worried. I told Glyn that she did not need to worry about having the CENOMAR. Now, I am beginning to wonder if that was bad advice.

I know it is not required, but I wonder if she will have problems if she does not have it.

She is supposed to go on May 15 and has already paid for her document verification. Does it make sense for her to try to get one now?

Any advice or experience you can share would be great!

    Thanks,

    Tim

I was asked by the prescreener to submit one. My friend was asked of her CENOMAR too. So even if the CENOMAR is not on the list of the new requirements on the K1 packet, you need to get one. You'll never know what they are going to ask from you. More ammo, the better!

  6. Hello guys,

I had my interview today and visa approved! I got a pink slip and nothing else. Consular officer didnt ask too many questions. He said, "You're good to go. Your visa has been approved. Welcome to America!" Music to my ears. :P

BTW, in the middle of the interview, there was this lady who talked to the consular and handed a document. She said, "Sir, this just came in today." CO said, "Really, what a coincidence! That's good. I'll add this to her file." Then what I saw was my verified document (CENOMAR) from NSO! It was just riiiiiiiiiiiggggght in time baby! Whew! Thank God. I am included in the April 14th list of names from the USE requested for document verification (according to Delbros when I called two weeks ago), so if your name is on the April 14th list it is more likely that your verified documents are there already. Wooooohoooooo!

Just waiting for my visa now. Cant wait to be with my hunny.

    To God be the glory!

yoooohooooo BRINGING BACK THE GLORY TO GOD!!!

CONGRATSSSSS!!!! GOD BLESS YOU MORE ON YOUR NEXT JOURNEY

SEE WHEN GOD HANDS MOVE??? HE CAN NEVER BE LATE FOR THOSE WHO TRUST HIM 100%.

JUST DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO BEFORE YOUR INTERVIEW THEN EVERYTHING WILL BE PERFECT COZ GOD WILL SURELY DO THE REST.. RIGHT PEYPEY?

IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU THATS WHY IM USING CAPS LETTERS EHEHEHEHE

    BLESSINGS KEEP ON COMING!!!

    AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

  7. So we passed our interview on April 16th. We didn't ask for Visa pick up. Still a week and a half later there was still no Visa so I called the embassy last Friday. They said she had to redo her finger scanning. The thing is they never told us and they knew since the Monday before...Now we have to wait until tomorrow to do the finger scanning again. I hope they will allow us to pick up the visa on Wednesday cause our plane leaves on Thursday :( I'm just angry that they didn't even bother to call us to let us know of the problem. Everyone pray that everything works out and we leave to the USA on the same plane. Shes doing her CFO right now.

Tip for everyone. Call everyday to check the status of your visa. If there is a problem they sure as hell wont tell you.

I'm so sorry to hear about the finger scanning error. I'm getting a little worried now since reading your post. You see, I had my interview today and visa approved. My worry is during finger scanning (finger scanner was cranky this Vietnamese/Korean woman), it took me a while to have my fingers scanned. Cranky woman in charge! I asked her if I need to repeat my right hand, she said "never mind." So now, I am worried. If there was an error in the first place, they shoud have told you right then and there! It's their responsibility, D'oh!

WHATS THE CATCH HERE?? well she is included in the april 14 list of those documents to be verified to NSO. so this is a clear good sign that next week we r about to read success stories of those people who are faithfully and patiently waiting for their visas.

    BLESSINGS KEEP ON COMING!!!

    note:

see how primie got rewarded by God at once when she didnt worry about anything, she surrendered her worries to God.

  10. On april 22 me and my fiance passed our interview. They didnt yet get our recipt for the document verification yet. We are waiting for that right now. we paid it on april 2 and they are still waiting for it. Does anyone know who we contact to find out a status report. We are both in the philippines now but I leave on May 1 and am hoping we can get this straightened out by then if possible.

call robbie at delbros 3392761 loc 104, ask him to when did usem send the request of your documents to be verified to nso. he has to give u a monday date. do that first then let me know what robbie said. then we'll find out your next step.

Hi! I paid Delbros docs verification fee on March 31st. I called them and said request forwarded on April 14th (monday). My interview will be on the 29th. Do you think my docs have been verified by that time? I'm just worried.

well let me be the first to congratulate u now peypey, coz u have a great possiblity that YOU WONT BE PUT ON AR. coz nso has 2 weeks to verify your docs before your interview. so start taking away the worry out of your heart, coz worrying is an intrusion's of God's providence. worrying means u have doubt. doubting means not trusting. now that u have the possibility not to be under AR but it doesnt mean u will not pray about it anymore, ask God to bless those people at nso who are assigned to your documents.keep the faith and trust God with ALL your heart that nothing will be impossible. God is so good that He can never be late, He has His own perfect timing and timetable for us.

    keep the faith-loterly

Oh thank you so much for the great encouragement! You become and attract what you think about most. Think Pink slip! Thank you so much and God bless!

  12. Hello all! My fiance and I had our interview on 4/22.

We just received a text from Delbros that our VISA is going to be delivered today 4/25 or on Monday 4/28!

I was surprised to receive this text from Delbros because I did not know that they send a text to inform you that you will receive your visa. (they got our cell phone # when we applied for the Visa Delivery at the US Embassy..

Which means we are receiving our visa after 3-6 days after the interview. (you cannot count Saturday and Sunday because Delbros is closed)

So for all of those who are curious on what we did to make this possible. Here is the summary.

After paying document verification from Delbros, it will take almost 2 weeks until NSO will receive the request form from the US Embassy.

You have to follow up from Delbros when NSO receives this. That is the first date that you have to count from the interview. (you do not count the 4 weeks when you paid document verification)

For example, we paid for document verification in March 6th. On March 17th, NSO received the request form from the US Embassy.

From March 17th, you can count 4 weeks after the date. Our Interview was on April 22nd. So its more than a month already before our interview.

When the Embassy in Manila receives the petition, then you can pay for your document verification as early as you can.

Like if you are married before, it will take more than 4 weeks because NSO will have to check your CENOMAR.

Good luck for all of those who passed their interview this week in receiving your visa soon.

My fiance and I will be leaving for the US on 5/2. We are both very happy with everyone a sucessful interview.

    Doc.

Congratulations! Wow!!! So excited now for my interview. Keep the good news coming!!! Just one question po, I paid Delbros March 31st, called them and said sent request to NSO on April 14th. My interview is on the April 29th. Does it mean there is a good chance my docs arent verified yet by that time? Uh-oh!

  13. I find it a little bit odd coz i read in this website that we are suppose to pay delbros so that document verification will not be delayed, hence i did pay a month earlier than my interview only to find out a few days before my interview that no verification process has been initiated at all at that time. Now the question is, why should we pay early for the verification process if USEM will not initiate the move to verify till our interview. I dont understand the system.

Anyway, its kinda frustrating that the document verification, i understand will take 4 weeks maximum??? just to check the documents issued by the same institiution that will verify our documents? Its like double verification process being made. Its ok to verify it twice, but i hope not that long as in 4 weeks. We have waited for so long, about 6 months just for the K1 papers to arrive to Manila from the US, then wait for 60 days to have your interview set and then the document verification of your birth certificate and cenomar for a month? If its a day or perhaps 3 days, that would be fine, but 4 weeks? That's too dragging already.

Just because you paid it doesnt mean Delbros notified the embassy you paid it. It is advised to follow up with Delbros one week after paying the fee to verify they have notified the embassy you paid. Its 4 weeks from the time the embassy is notified to process the document verification. Delbros is not always on top of things.

    Chris

Hi! I paid Delbros March 31, 2008. I called them 1st week of April and they said request will be forwarded April 14th. I called on April 14th and said request was forwarded already, two weeks after I paid! My interview will be on April 29th. My question is where will the request be forwarded? USE or NSO? How does the document verification thing work?????! I'm confused. :bonk: I hope my documents get verified before my interview date! Sigh.
