  1. after 4 weeks I finally got my Visa...i know i don't post a lot here but i wanna thank you guys for answering my posts and for sharing your experiences...they really helped me and my hubby a lot specially during the NVC processing...we couldn't have done it like we did without all your help...it could have been a long journey but it's all worth the wait...

good luck to those who are still waiting their visas...God bless us all!!! :dancing:

  2. in the releasing area, she asked me my delbros bank receipt, then i was asked to pay for delbros again coz i need 2 DV. then she handed me a pink slip attached to my appointment letter and a white paper. she asked me to return to her after i pay my delbros.

 hmmm you didn't mention about paying for the visa delivery fee...i was thinking the other delbros payment might be for this...or I maybe wrong but 2 DV's is weird...shouldn't the DV cover both the BC and MC? :innocent:

    nevertheless...congrats!!! and good luck!!!

  3. still no visa guys :crying::crying: wensdy already na.. im hopeless............i can't wait anymore

hi...in my case i was interviewed aug 22 and was given pink & white slips...they asked for an add'l doc...my husband called every friday since then... until last friday he talked to grace for like 45 mins (close na nga ata sila hehe)...then she told him to call again monday...then he called again yesterday (wed) and grace let him talk to a consular officer...finally the CO said we're approved and i should get my visa in a few days...thank God!!! we're so happy...to his excitement he immediately booked me an Oct 3 flight to chicago...

so don't loose hope and ask your husband to keep calling the embassy...Good luck!!!!!

  4. Hi everyone my wife finally got her visa in Butuan Philippines, funny Delbros text her to go pick it up at Jolliebee of all places lol. I hope everyone here to will get there Visa to be together forever to. What a long wait this immigration thing is,and it really test your love and patience. If you can stay in love for a year or so long distance then its only heaven when your finally together again;-)

Congrats David and happy trip to your wife!!!

  5. Maybe you're one of the young pretty ladies I saw there. I was just kinda shy to approach anyone and was so busy looking at the numbers being flashed. I couldn't even read the paper (re CR1 status) that the guy from the numbering booth gave me. Sayang nga but I'm happy for you guys. I know you'll get your visas soon!

Hi Red earth are you still waiting your visa? We are to I called embassy and they said call back Friday, it all depends on the case work of the consul.

Hi DavidnMay yes we are still waiting. My husband also called the embassy last friday. Good news is that my DV has been done. Bad news our case is still or is yet to be reviewed, same as what they told you. He's calling again this Friday. Hope we both get some better news.

  6. ...in my case I sent NVC original and a copy of 864 but for some reason they sent the copy, that's why I had to send another original

let me clarify things..i'm kinda confuse and a bit worried now. so as a beneficiary of the CR1 visa I need to bring another I-864 aside from the one we submitted to NVC??? OMG  huhuhuhuhuhu :crying: is this really true? i was thinking i need not bring coz everthing was submitted to NVC!! huhuhuhuhuhu :crying:

does this happen all the time? CO looks for another copy of I-864???

what else did you bring to the interview...im bound to have my interview this october, i know it's still a month from now and kinda early to panic but i just can't help it!! huhuhuhu :crying:

As for me, they did not ask for any copies of all the docs that we sent to NVC. They only asked for my Appointment Letter, our pictures, and the Metrobank receipt. They didn't ask for other proofs but its better to be ready.

However, the Consul requested for an additional doc from my husband which is not a general requirement.

  8. Hi Filiricans, the doc she asked is a letter from the federal agency administering my hubby's disability benefits although my hubby had an explanation letter with his AOS and other proofs too. He was also surprised since his AOS has been approved already by the NVC.

They didn't ask me for any other document not even copies. Only the appointment letter from NVC and our pictures. Good luck to us!!!

  9. Hi KandI. Yeah I guess I saw you guys there at the embassy. I was also hoping that I'd end up in room 32 based from the feedback of the other applicants, but I thought it was a guy consul. Unfortunately I was assigned in room 28 or 29, basta ung pinakadulo na open. I think there were 4 rooms used for interview then.

I thought she was pretty too but during the interview and while she's asking me those questions, I realized "di naman sya kagandahan noh" :P

  10. Thanks for the replies. You're all right I should think positive and I already have the doc and ready to submit on Tuesday (I wish its not holiday on Monday :) ). Plus I think my doc verification is not yet with them too alhough I paid it a month before my interview. The lady on window 38 asked me for the metrobank slip.

I thought after the pre-screener who was so nice and didn't ask for any document just the pictures, everything is going to be fine. Until I came face to face with this lady CO (who's kinda healthy, ooops sorry). She didn't care to look at any of my proofs like remittances, phone bills, my hubby's flight itineraries, nothing, just the pictures that were already with her.

She was also kinda concerned with the fact that we got married barely a month after his divorce was finalized. But I told her when I met him he had been separated for more than a year and their divorce has already been filed.

I hope this has nothing to do with the additional document required.

Does anyone here know her name? She looks quite young and like a said quite healthy too. My husband told me I should have asked for her name. :bonk:

  11. Hello guys!

I'm a bit down. The white paper is for asking an additional document/letter from the Federal Agency administering my hubby's disability benefits. They returned my passport and told me to bring it back when I submit the document but also asked me to pay the visa delivery fee which I could do right away or when I return to submit the doc. I decided to just pay it right then.

Why do they have to return my passport if they gave me the authorization to pay the delivery fee? I'm so confused.

Please help me. It's driving me crazy :(

  12. Hello guys! My interview is already next week and I'm a bit worried. Do you think the CO will ever care about the details in our Marriage Certificate particularly the addresses?

We got married last year. It was my fiancee's (now my husband) 3rd visit and during that time he could not stay very long. I got a referral to a Pastor who also happens to be the head of the Civil Registrar of this City which is NOT my hometown. Now my concerns are:

    1. My address in the MC is different form my residence address found in all my other documents.

    2. The place where we got married in the MC is a church (christian) from that City but actually we had the ceremony in the sala of our Hotel. The pictures will show.

But please dont get me wrong. Our marriage is Legal and so is our MC. We just had to find someone who can help us do the wedding in such a short time. The normal way is to wait for 10 days just to get a license and then wait again for the wedding itself right?

Do you think the Consul will grill me on these details? Please I would really appreciate your inputs.

I feel that it was my fault that I hadn't think about this before. Maybe I should have done something.

    Good luck to us all!

  13. Hey everyone...so its like this...my hubby has just mailed our AOS package on May 7th and paid IV Bill on April 28th...

On May 13th NVC's auto machine said "the NVC is waiting the biographic forms from the petitioner"...I assume they have sent the DS230 at this time but we haven't received it yet...

Now just this Saturday, the 17th, NVC said "NVC has reviewed the packet of forms and found some documents missing and sent a letter on May 15"....

Are they talking about the AOS package since we haven't sent our DS230 yet? Should we talk to an operator to clarify what's missing so we can send it ahead? Or it's just an auto response until they receive our DS230?

    Thank you so much guys!!!!

  14. Since the original copy will be sent to NVC, can I present my "personal copy" of the NBI clearance at the Embassy? If not does it mean I need to fall in LINE AGAIN?

I don't think the "personal copy" is accepted. You will present the "personal copy" once you renew your NBI. I believe so you need to fall in line again. Just my opinion. I hope someone can answer this.

    -Riza

I agree with Riza, It should be original, better safe than sorry.

You will submit your Personal copy when you renew your NBI , or if you lost it just get a new NBI instead. The original copy is the one that is applicable to submit at the embassy.Just get a new copy or renew your NBI even if its not yet expired it is ok to renew it. I did that to mine.

Thank you so much everyone. Really really appreciate your help. See you around
