    Had the interview and got approved with an approval slip, CO said the visa will be issued within a few days. after 3 days we received AP email with 10 questions (DS5355 form Style). its been 3 months and nothing. the case status got updated 7 times. any advice? or any similar situations? Embassy: US embassy in Amman, Jordan

    Hi everyone, my visa interview at Amman embassy was approved by consular officer and received congratulations approval slip, the officer kept my passport and I was told that I will receive my visa less than a week. the next day I received an email that my visa is going through administrative processing and might take up to 90 days or longer. And I was sent 10 questions to answer in word format ( similar to form ds5535 ). My status shows refused. any expectations on how long would it take, did anyone go through this before ?

    My main question is when does the 212e gets brought up , during the nvc processing or later on during the interview stage ?

    Im subject to the 212e requirement J1 visa. I finished my program and returned home to fulfill the requirement. By now I finished 15 months ( 9 months to go ). During this t month My I-130 got approved and my pd is August 2024. im concerned about the NVC stage; as im still in the process of fulfilling the 2 years requirement. Im confused about this part, I saw a lot of cases mentioning that it’s at the interview stage at the consulate where you should prove completion of the 212e requirement. please any insights, information or advice ?
