  1. Hi,

I am having my interview soon and received the USCIS Courtesy Email to upload some evidence in advance.

What Types of Evidence to Provide

For a Form I-130 filing, you may provide additional evidence of the bona fides of your relationship from the inception of the relationship to present.

Examples of documentation may include but are not limited to:

    • Supporting evidence of your relationship, such as documentation regarding joint assets or liabilities you and your spouse may have together. This may include tax returns, bank statements, insurance documents (car, life, health), property documents (car, house, etc.), rental agreements, utility bills, credit cards, contracts, leases, photos, correspondence and/or any other documents you feel may substantiate your relationship.
    • Birth Certificates
    • Marriage Document issued by the appropriate civil authority
    • Divorce decree/death certificate for each prior marriage
    • Certified English translation for each foreign language document

For a Form I-485 filing, you should provide:

    • Copies of any immigration documents
    • Related police reports and the certified final court disposition for each arrest, even if the charges have been dismissed or expunged.

Items that Cannot be Uploaded in Advance

    ·         Form I-693, Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Records that were not submitted with the original filing cannot be uploaded in advance and should be presented unopened to the officer at the interview.

Please note that we still require you to bring in the original copies (or certified copies) of your documentation in person.

I was wondering should I upload the same documents they asked in email that I have already provided when submitting my application?

In my opinion they already have everything and I'm going to bring originals to the interview. The only new would be additional photos and some bills, health insurance

Would it look better for me if I upload it beforehand (even though they already got almost all of it)?

  2. Hi,

I have applied for AOS with all of the forms required including I-756. I have received a notice that this form has been rejected due to incorrect payment (my fault even though the online calculator showed me it's still free when applied with I-485) and needs to be sent again.

My question is - do I only send I-756 or whole package aka I-485 package. As in my opinion I should only resend the I-765, but the "petition package" got me confused.

    The notice states:

Please resubmit the application/petition package with the appropriate fees to the address listed on the bottom of this page.

I got sms that I-485 was received and it does have a different receipt number than the one I got for I-765.
