I tried to find appropriate information on the site, but I could not. I'd appreciate if someone could either point me to the right topic/section, or simply supply the answers.

My family - wife and daughter - arrived two weeks ago. We are expecting a permanent green card for my wife, and something (don't know what) for my daughter. Few questions:

1. How long does it usually take for the green card to be mailed?

2. How long does it usually take for the SS card to be mailed?

3. What (if anything) will we receive for our daughter? She's 2, and it's my understanding that she became a US citizen upon entry to the US.

The port of entry was SFO, if this matters.

Looks like this is not going to be an easy experience for my wife. Luckily, the end of daylight adjustment this coming weekend is playing for us. This "gives" us an extra hour, if you know what I mean.

Good morning or good evening, everyone. I have a question regarding Moscow Embassy rules wrt immigrant visa interviews...

It is known that everyone's appointment letters state that the applicants should be at the embassy by 8 AM. Question: is it on first come first served basis? Is there a benefit of showing up early? What is the longest the wait time could be before the interview actually begins? Is baby food allowed inside?

With an infant on hands, I don't think it's fun for anyone to listen to the baby screams....

Any ideas?

Interview is scheduled for the very end of October.

My girls know their interview date (very end of October) since Sep 11th, but the embassy's site that is updated every Monday (Msk time) still has nothing. It's been almost three weeks since I received their "nvc complete/interview scheduled" letter from NVC. Embassy's in Moscow. Anyone had similar experience? Is this "normal".

My wife's and daughter's cases were approved last week, so they both (cases) have since been sent to NVC.

I understand how to move along with regards to my wife's case.

What I can't understand is how to, for example, select an agent for my 2 year old daughter. Should one of us (her parents) fill out the form on her behalf?

I would appreciate an answer.
