  1. I posted the following in your other thread... just in case you missed. This guy was fast and easy, and I pretty much showed him what he needed to do. I took my vaccination record both from the UK and my new vaccinations from NY with me to show him and he copied, signed and sealed.

Sorry for delay. Here is the civil surgeon I used who charged $50 to transcribe the vaccination records with no full medical. (back in July 08)

  2. I'm at work at the moment and don't have the details with me. When I arrived in July last year, I found a doctor in Manhattan (30's?) who just signed the supplement for $50. I'll check my paperwork when I get home and post his name and address. I also rang so many from the approved list before I got to him. I didn't need to make an appointment in advance, I rang him and popped down about an hour later.

Also, re: vaccinations. If you didn't get them done before leaving your country, then just goto the Immunization clinics. You can get full vaccinations for no charge!

  3. Just to let you all know... Our AOS package was rejected at the end of last week for incorrect check amount. We supplied a check for $1010, and they rejected stating that the check should have been for $930 + $80 for biometrics (1010!).. How stupid is that? Anyone else had this happen? They also rifled through the paperwork for AOS, EAD and AP including printing down the side of each front cover and scribbling it out, so I suspect we need to re-print and double check all the evidence is still there grrr.

I'm holding sending back until after the holiday today when I can talk to somebody and double check what the checks should actually be, ie separate or all in one.

  4. One thing to note - you can also pay with credit card, but you can not pay with a visa debit or any other bank card.

Also, you pay before they do the paperwork and visa intervew lol... so whether approved or not!

Saying that, don't worry - I had mine on Tuesday and if you have all the items they've asked for it's straight forward, and the interview was actually a fairly pleasant chat that lasted all of 5 minutes.

    Good luck.

  5. Hi all. I think i've only posted once previously here, but advise etc has been invaluable. I had my interview this morning and was approved pending fingerprints not being dodgy (which I guess is normal??) :)

There was a definite 'no phones or any electrical equipment' policy in force today. The policeman outside said this was quite recent and you would definitely not be allowed in the building with anything electrical, even car key fobs that are battery powered etc.

I did have my mobile with me, and was directed to go to the chemist just down the road, where you can drop your phone/electronic items for collection afterwards. They charged me £10 for the honour... great work if you can get it! My phone was absolutely fine there, and it looked like they were doing excellent business lol.

I hope that's some comfort for anybody who needs a mobile with them for their trip to london.

  6. Hi all

Firstly, long time lurker. The posts and guides on here got us nicely through to Packet 3 stage :) Thanks for all the invaluable info.

I'm hoping to send my packet 3 info back today but I have a question which I hope you can all hape with.

Question 25 List dates of all previous visits to the United States. Give type of visa if known.

I've checked through my passport and over the past 4 years I've visited 28 times, going by the stamps. Firstly i'm slightly worried that there could be the odd missing stamp, and also that they ask you to report visits by month dates only. This isn't very representative for me, as most trips were between 3 - 14 days max.

How have others dealt with this? Have you added every trip, in the format they require, or put an explanatory note of some kind?

    Thanks in advance.

    Matt
