  1. Hey guys,

Just one quick question. I finally received my AP and EAD this Wednesday after more than 4 and a half months. My case is still at the NBC.

Since my work requires me to travel overseas for long periods of time, I called the USCIS and asked them if my file was already sent back to the Tampa office.

All that to say, she told me i shouldn't expect to get an interview notice for at least a couple of months since they are now processing September filers.

Are these processing dates reliable? I know that there is no way to find out exactly when my interview will be but at least a little idea wouldn't hurt.

As per your experiences, did you have to wait months from receiving AED/AP to the interview?

    Thanks for any suggestions

    I am K3

    File AOS/AP/EAD to NBC: 17 January 2008

RFE on AOS: 11 February 2008

RFE received case resumed: 31 March 2008

    AP/EAD approval emails: 2 June 2008

AP received in mail: 7 June 2008

EAD received in mail: 11 June 2008

  2. Thank you very much for the info and suggestions. Unfortunately, USCIS has this gift of making you feel like you are disturbing them when you call. The lack of info while waiting for months can make you soooo frustrated!

I think i'll make an infopass appointment anyway. I think that 4 months for the AP and EAD is way too long especially after i have read that some got it within 3 months. I guess i have nothing to loose.

    Thanks again

  3. Hey guys,

Quick question. I called USCIS many times and of course, aside from being so rude, they don't even bother giving you any information.

I am thinking of making an infopass appointment but i was wondering if it's going to be the same "sorry you have to wait, there is nothing I can do" or you its actually where you can get some answers?

I applied for AOS (NBC center) in january and so far, did only the biometrics and no EAD, no AP, no nothing...

Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

  4. Hello everyone,

I am in Tampa and new to this forum and need a little help. I already apologized for posting in the wrong forum so hopefully this is the right one..

I filed for my AP (among others), last January and been looking at the USCIS website ever since. The message is the same, case received and pending.

As per a message I read this morning on this forum, i registered for a portfolio on the USCIS website.

My questions are: If on the portfolio it says (for the AP), last updated 18 January, does that mean that my file has been sitting on someone's desk for almost 3 months? Should I be concerned?

And will I receive updated emails from them only when it is updated? And does "touched" mean that the last update date changed?

    Thanks for help.
