  2. Ok I just got a letter from the NVC yesterday saying that they recieved my approved I-129f application for the k-3 and that it would be sent to casa with in the week. My question is what kind of time frame am I looking at for the interview? How long has it been taking for the so to get the packet and are they setting appts. 4 months out, sooner or longer?? Im so nervouse about this part, Im driving myself crazy. Thanks for all the help.

hi there, hope I can help even tho each case is off a bit on time, here goes , NVC rec'd my petition for husband Adil on April 17th, and assigned a case number , ( I rec'd that letter in the mail) they mailed it to Casa who rec'd it on April 21. I emailed consulate on April 30th, inquiring if they rec'd it yet. They emailed me on May 9th says his visa appointment was for June 4th ( he just got his visa today ! after 16 days of 221g AP. Adil rec'd his packet in the mail on May 14th, with appointment letter and list of things to bring, and medical paper to take to doctor Zirari Khadija (who he chose of the 3 docs on list) medical was on May 20th, interview June 4th and visa in hand June 16th! this is on the K3, when he gets here we will apply for the green card Adjustment of Status , a mere $1,010 hah, we need him to get a job as soon as possible good luck! with your journey , it won't be long now cause I thought time would drag hahah it went so fast........Diana

  3. Hi friends, after my husbands nightmare interview at Casa consulate June 4th , he rec'd his visa at consulate today just before closing !! I called DOS Mon-Wed-Fri each day at 10am to check on staus of his fingerprints and name check and the girl there says oh, it was approved today! The consulate never called him! I told him to get his feet running down to consulate ...this is at 10am my time, 3pm his time, they closed in couple hours. Good thing he was in Mohammedia at time, he took taxi and stood in line 10 minutes , went to window and said my wife called DOS and they say my visa is ready with my passport, and sure enough it was, he got it, we will be reunited in 1 week after 14 months of wait, so hang in AP waiters, the dream will come true! So look out Detroit , we have a Moroccan movin in! thanks for all info on here during depressing times, Diana and Adil

  4. Hi,

When I got my "packet 3" the AOS wasn't part of my ticklist either, but I sent an e-mail to my case worker to make sure what I need from my husband to send me from the US, and he replied that my husband needs to send me an original signed I-864.....not the I-134.....as well as a copy of his last year of tax filing and original divorce decrees from previous marriage....

    hope it answers your question.....

Yes, thank you so much!! Looks like I have everything in order then..

Hi , at my husbands interview June 4th I had the I864 in his folder , blondie never asked for it, I134 is for fiance K1, was told that the I864 is for Adjustment of Status if you are on the K3 route, been 15 days AP and still no word on visa grrrrrrr I will call DOS in Washington again Friday, even faxed info to Senators office.........so quiet from any government....oh another thing, blondie CO asked my Adil why he married a non Muslim woman, did he know that *we non Muslims can go to hell when we die and only Muslims go to heaven! this woman is a real trip! he was shocked and said he just loved me is all he knows. Maybe she was trying to get a reaction out of him like anger but he was cool and calm whew! later, Diana

I can't tell you what a weight has been lifted off of our shoulders!!! thank you all for the kind words, good thoughts, prayers and everythign else you all did to help us through this long , hard journey. After almost 9 months, we will be reunited and all the stress and waiting will melt away when she walks through those doors at the airport!!!

Good luck to you all that are still waiting! Keep the faith and , if you truley love each other, you will make it!!

    Regards,

    Norman

congrats to you too! hopefully my husband will be flying into Detroit Metro too by the end of this month if that visa should be in his hands, 7 days wait on wednesday grrrrrrr , Diana

  7. I hate to be nosy, but how did the CO know that you are unable to have children? How would she know about your medical records?

The CO asked Adil you plan to have children? he says I (me) had surgery and cannot have children, why does she ask this question, it is my private life and he thought so too! Many times in that 40 min of interview he had to hold back and not say what he was thinking cause she was so rude but I am amazed he did, ( he is an awful quiet kind of guy and cannot believe that CO got him riled up.) He said he was gonna say some bad words to her but thought of how long we waited for that interview. I guess she was weeding out the fake marriages eh? Well she got a real one and hope she sticks that in her hat! It will be 7 days of waiting this Wednesday the 11th, wonder how much longer for that phone call from the consulate!! Thanks for taking the time to chit chat, Diana

  8. OMG! This consulate is crazy! 11 years isnt even a big age difference. And why is it that people think its so odd that the woman is older than the man....HELLO...women look good...men are attracted to that.....what does the age matter. And geesh...all in your business about having children or not...what in the world does this have to do with immigration?! I thought the CO was supposed to interview to make sure all work is in order. Why does the system let you get all the way thru name checks security checks financial checks only to have some random CO who has had you file for all of 5 minutes to deny you?!! This system is a load of ####### sometimes. I know they are doing their job,,blah blah blah...but what the hell was USCIS and NVC doing in all that time prior. Why does the CO get to change your fate by just looking at you and thinking to themselves..."hmmm...this guy and this lady don't look like they 'match', let me deny them, or make them wait another 2 months of BS time and see if they come back"...I want to start yelling discrimination and prejudice cause this is obviously a case of judging a book by its cover not by the content of whats inside. I'm just so fed up with people and THEIR idealogy of what is acceptable.

Hey thanks for that info, I am so naive when it comes to this, I went into this blind apparently and being honest not knowing anything about this consulate or how they do things, as long as he gets his visa then we will be complete, this wednesday is 7 days waiting *sigh* later, Dee

    UGH!!!

hey! you are my kind of friend we are on the same page! we should go to lunch hah and discuss the blondie and ways to make her change her vocation right! Sounds like a plan, You would be a good friend to have around! later, Diana

Unfortunately, Casablanca IS a high fraud consulate and there are many many cases of younger men marrying older women for the green card and to get out of Morocco. It happens. So they really ARE just doing their jobs there, although some with a more bitter attitude than others (like Blondie). Of course there are some legitimate couples that get messed up by it and there are some scammers that make it through. But the point is, Casa seems to have sadly earned its reputation for fraud and couples going through there need to be aware of this and realize its going to impact their case. Situations like age differences and future children really do raise questions and will probably be scrutinized at interview time. everyone dealing with this consulate needs to do like the boy scouts and be prepared !

  10. What does the 221g notice say? We need information to give information.

well hi there! I do not know if I have to answer everyone that asked and sent me info but I will do this for you guys, you seem like smartie pants (in a good way!) and I like that in you all.....221g

**your case requires administrative processing, we require nothing further from you at this time. We will contact you by telephone as soon as we are able to continue with your case**

so this is a mouse and cat game now huh? they put a piece of paper in your hand and wiggle it til you get sick of waiting and want to pull your hair out! I do not drink but I sure want a stiff rum and coke now heh! heck throw in a cigarette and I do not smoke either! I need something to calm my nerves so I am guessing he will be here in Michigan in 2 months? I may still contact Dept of State after 1 week and play *dumb* like I are already :) thank you, Diana

  11. What does the 221g notice say? We need information to give information.

Right, this is very important. Almost everyone interviewing in Casa, including us, gets a 221(g). It is very rare for anyone to receive the visa the same day. In some cases, the 221(g) means you just have to wait for security checks to be completed and then they will ask for the passport to put in the visa. In others, it means your file is being returned to USCIS, and in that case, you need to take immediate action to try to prevent the return -- some have done that successfully.

Please ask your husband to scan the 221(g) paper and send it to you, and let us know EXACTLY what it says. Even if it's the worst case, there are folks in the MENA regional forum who can help you with the next step, but since they told him they would contact him, I am hopeful for you.

Hi wow lots of people answered thanks, here goes the 221g..........Your case requires additional administrative processing, we require nothing further from you at this time. We will contact you by telephone as soon as we are able to continue with your case.................. so I am guessing I will call Dept of State after 1 week to look dumb* to see what it means but if blondie said 3 weeks or more I am thinking she meant it (for fingerprint checks?), and that blonde (maureen ) needs to get a life and move to another consulate, its a wonder she does not have a flat tire or 3 when she gets out of work every day. She is over doing her job, why should she care that Adil cannot have children with me? I had 1 with my ex, that is enough and really none of her business if we match right!? thanks everyone for calming my nerves! Diana

  12. Hello, today was a bad day for my husband at K3 interview and me here in Michigan, We had everything that was asked for in an interview, the big day was finally here, I was so full of excite ment and anticipation then a bomb fell on our day. My husband sat for 5 hours he was the last one called. But let me back up...he sat up front and watched all people get a denial none not one person turned in their passport for any visa! The woman before him was a Moroccan woman (who was a US citizen for 23 yrs) with her older non english speaking mother to get a visitor visa for her Mom. The blonde CO denied her the visa too! The daughter screamed at the CO *why can't Mom go with me today she went and was approved for visa 4 times already in 8 years , why not this time? *this is Bulls--t and f--- you and s---t on that visa and grabbed her Mom who almost fainted out the door! then they called Adils name, the last one and he knew in his heart he was not getting a visa from that blonde CO. She asked him about 60 questions, (this interview took 40 minutes) since I am 11 trs older than him and *fixed ....cannot have children--she asked him, you know you cannot have children with her right( what a nosy woman) she asked about my maiden name (he told her it was Polish) asked about my ex and my dead husband, then she looked at ALL emails and wedding dinner pics, my phone bills, commented to him on my age and I look way younger, was smiling at him and handed him the 221g white paper, took his cell phone number and said he will be called in 3 weeks to 2 months, do I need to write my Senator in Michigan or something? Are they just gonna send his fingerprints to Washington DC or something, do I need to write consulate? help, !!! its been 13 months marriage to this big day that was crushed! Thank you if anyone can respond.....sad me Diana

  13. Here are the details of this second time around.

His interview was at 1pm. He got to the embassy at 12:45, sat for an hour and 15 minutes and was called to the first window. He said it was a fellow Ghanaian who must have been having a bad day or something because he was very rude. He took the letters that Inusah had brought and then told him to sit back down.

He waited for another hour and was called to another window. It was the same CO who interviewed him at the first interview.

    CO: Good afternoon

Inusah: Good afternoon. How are you today.

CO: Very well thank you. Do you have your passport?

    Inusah: Yes

    CO: Can I have it?

    Inusah: Sure

CO: I have spent the past 30 minutes going over the letters you have brought. I am certain that your relaitonship is a true and stable relationship that has been going on for some time. Congratulations.

CO gives Inusah blue slip for visa pick up on Friday.

    CO: Welcome to America

    And that was it!!!

    :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Conratulations you guys, you are like a Godsend when it comes to answering and helping people out with their questions, he is coming home whew huh? Fluff up those pillows, my husband has his interview on June 4th, this Wednesday, I can't sleep can hardly breathe with all those stories of the blonde there grrrrrrrrrrr but I have been praying so much and so hard, we have not been together for over 13 months now , I know that this time will be worth it when I see him come thru customs in Detroit tho, sniff sniff who is gonna cry huh? later, Diana ....let us know when his bigday is coming to *America* ok

  14. Hi all, finally my husband has his interview in Casablanca on June 4th. I emailed Casa Consulate 3 times for info and they sent me email today( 13 days after I emailed them )....they said his packet was mailed May 9th from Casa Consulate to Meknes, will see how long that takes. I found out that the 2 petitions I mailed the I 130 and I 129 were both received at NVC and THEY chose which one for him to go on, this is why I do not have Visa and AOS money to pay them cause they chose this route, and only the $131 visa processing fee, when husband (if all goes good) comes here to Michigan then more paperwork and money but first we are working on him getting here and answering who knows what questions then we will inquire if we have to pay the adjustment of status ($1,010) or something like that, but main thing now is I am nervous ,he is nervous that this moment has come an INTERVIEW DATE at 8am June 4th I cannot believe it, he is on his way to Casablanca to their doctors on Monday to get this medical hurried up and done! I am so excited , will let you know more later!! Thanks visa journal people for helping me on this journey!!! Diana

Congratuations.. this is my first post but wanted to wish you well, my husband is from Casablanca we just got married last friday the 9th and came to this site to find out what we should do next. Any help from you would be appreciated as you are so much further along than we are. Can you tell me which paperwork you sent first and how long it took? Also i am wondering on the G325 form it asks for Alien Registration number i don't know what to put in the box???? Again Congratulations for getting that far.

Hi Rajaa, he got his packet today May 14th, , has 4 papers of DS230, 2 papers of DS156, one paper DS157 and the list of what to bring..I mailed 130 and 129 petitions at end of Aug, NVC got them Mar 12th and sent only 129 to Casa for K3, whole process is 91/2 months to interview from 1st mailing and you do not have an alien registration number yet, that will be waaaaay in the future after he is here, are you from the states?later, Diana

  16. wow! thanks virtual wife, this was very helpful, I forgot something , on the casa consulate page it says that visa application is 910DH is this the $400 visa application price I have been seeing on different sites? also when does he pay the $131 new price for visa processing? the same time at day of interview, and does he pay $45 for fingerprint scan? also I did not change my last name yet to his I did not want to mess up the time frame of having to change name and send in another petition additive you know what I mean? I hope this does not hurt the visa approval, thanks again . You mean for his K3 we have to download a form off internet? it does not come in the packet? I sent him one to practice on, I will send him another in case it is not included thanks again for that quick response ( I used to live in Littleton, Colorado ) Diana

You're welcome, Diana! For a CR1/IR1 visa, all the fees are paid upfront except for the medical. My husband paid for nothing at the interview. I'm sure there are differences in the procedures between the visa we got and a K3, but someone who is doing/has recently done a K3 would know more about the K3 than I do. One thing I believe is the same is that, while they send you pretty much all other information by mail, most of the forms for submission are to be printed off the internet. Name changes or lack of them don't seem to affect the chances of success or failure.

Hi virtual wife again, I received an email from the Casa consulate on May 8th!!!! Thy said that they rec'd my husbands petiton (on the 129f) and that all he has to pay at day of interview is the $131 for visa processing and that he will get all info he neds in his packet . They are in the process of sgiving himan interview date wow that took 13 days for them to respond, hope this is good news, when my 130 petition is received thats when I pay the $400 to NVC and the $70 AOS proceesing fee whew! my nerves are finally settling, just waiting til my hubby gets his mail from casa...the waiting game again but oh so close, will let ya know more later....Diana

  18. Hi me Diana again, does anyone know what questions they ask at Casa interview? what does interview room look like ? is it in a wide open room where everyone stares at you? do you stand or can you sit ? I have heard bad denial stories and good ones , so I am scared for him . My husband has not received his packet yet, it was mailed by NVC on April 16th to Casa, what is usual wait? also does the DS230 come in English to him ? He speaks Arabic , French and of course English very well, also how much is a medical if he already had his shots and xray done by his personal doctor in Meknes, does Casa doctor for the consulate transfer the shot documents and xray and only charge for bloodwork? Any answers will be greatly appreciated thank you thank you twice  Diana

We applied for an IR1 visa, I was the agent and I received a copy of the packet before he did. They will have you get the DS-230 off the internet. The medical costs about $200 american, 150 dhs, and they will redo the shots and xray if he cannot provide evidence that he is current with all of them. We had Dr. Alain. Schedule the medical at least 10 days before the interview; the doctor's office will send the results to the consulate, Have your husband get a copy of the results to bring with him to the US. He can request the originals of your submissions at the interview.

My husband had his interview in Casa on April 16. It's conducted in an open room in front of everyone. They will take a finger print after they call him, then they stand at a window with the interviewer and talk on a phone. Have him ask for the interviewer's name before the questions starts. That makes it easier to identify them if you need to challenge a denial. Also, have him ask for an explanation of the decision so he will understand what it means.

The questions they asked him were "How did you meet your wife?", "When was the last time you were together?", "What does your wife do for a living?", "What work did your wife do before this?", "Does your wife have any children?", "How old are her children?", "How do they feel about you?", "When did your wife change her name?". He had the young, blonde lady; she spoke to him in Arabic, he answered in English, as we often do between us. I had emailed the consulate, and told them that, so that might be why it went that way. She didn't look at any of our evidence, took his passport and told him to come back the next day for his visa.

    Best wishes to you both!

I hope this does not hurt the visa approval, thanks again . You mean for his K3 we have to download a form off internet? it does not come in the packet? I sent him one to practice on, I will send him another in case it is not included thanks again for that quick response ( I used to live in Littleton, Colorado :star: ) Diana

  20. Hi, I think I have a strange situation here. I petitoned him on a 129 and 130 giving past 5 yrs of my employment W2 forms and email chats and photos with each petition, we were approved March 12th, assigned a case number from NVC on April 14th and then I get a letter from NVC * your spouse will receive a packet with instructions from the consular section on how to apply for the K3 visa at that post (Casablanca) and what documents will be required. , sincerely, Bureau of Affairs*, well, I called NVC and they said the petition was mailed to Casablanca on the 16th of April.......so what happened to me receiving anything in the mail from NVC I asked the gal there when I called, she said it is all up to Casa now to send any paperwork, because they do not have my petition anymore. Does this mean my husband will just pay for the application and processing on the spot day of interview, what happened to my end of AOS application of suport processing? I did have him email NVC that he would be choice of agent the day after I heard from NVC *to be sure *but NVC sent him an email back saying his petition is no longer there but in Casa, this is driving me crazy. Has anybody heard of them doing it like this? We have been married since Aprill 11th, 2007 (in meknes) then after 1 month I went back home to Michigan and applied for him , why does this take so long? Thanks for any info, Diana

i can see u re going on k3 route, the choice of agent is for CRI/IRI, k3 does not need choice of agent stuff. once nvc has forwaded your case to the designated consulate your spouse will receive packet 3 which gives instruction on what will be needed for the interview such as medical, police certificate,I 134 and some other docs. mind you your husband will need to adjust status when he get to state to permanent residence wich will give him green card. i will advice you to post more of your question to MENA forum where people from their personal experience about north africa consulate can shed light to your question

Hi ! thanks for clearing one of those things up, so thats why I did not need a choice of agent , now I have to find out if he just pays for visa aplication and processing all in the same day, and at interview is it in abig room with people sitting in chairs watching you being interviewed, no wonder the poor guy is so nervous , need more info on the Casa consulate and nightmare interview officers please  thanks again, Diana I am off to try to find what Mena is

  22. Here is what I did:

I asked my husband to write his name in big, clear persian letters his full name. Then I practiced and practiced....I then submitted to my husband (scanned and email to him) 5 versions of my writing his name. He said, #3 is good.

So I wrote his name on the DS-230 in persian.

    No questions asked.

well Diana here again! I called April 21 t NVC they said they have not rec'd petition yet, but in the mail at 2pm that day I got a letter from NVC with a case number!!!! yahoo!!! that they rec'd the petition gave a case number starting with CSB then said my spouse(ADIL) will rec've a packet with instuctions from the consulate(CASBLANCA) on how to apply for the K3 visa and what documents will be required, Is it me or is this jumping the track a month into this? I thought I got a packet 1st with AOS fee bill and DS230 fee bill grrrrrrrr I am so confused has this happened to anybody? is this normal? sure would like to know...thanks Diana, I better call NVC in morning eh?

  23. I live in a town of 5,000 people there is no mosque here. LOL

btw, thanks for the offer of help. :)

Please help me here after reading all these posts, can I have my husband in Morocco sign the DS230 he got off the internet , fill it all in including his Arabic name , mail it to me here in Michgan, and it will be excepted at NVC like that ? Do they have some sort of code sticker on the original? Thanks if you take the time to answer, also the DS3032 gets mailed only to him right? hes the beneficiary so he mails it back to me ? I mail it back to NVC with my $70 for AOS? I have to call USCIS and NVC tomorrow because I want to know where my approved petition for him as of March 12th 2008 went and can they trace it, will let you all know the outcome, thanks, Diana

if your husband prints out the files and fills them out and signs them and then sends them to you that is is all right. That is what the James Shortcuts is all about. I can't answer the rest of your question, sorry. :(

here it is I called NVC this morning at 9am they said NO they have not received the petition but when I checked my mail today there was a letter from NVC with my case number and they said that within a week my husband in Morocco will receive a packet of papers to fill out from his consulate in Casablanca for his DS230 K3 visa , did someone forget to send me papers 4 choice ofagent? I am having him send email to NVC choice of agent to cover our butts and this was for the I 129 petition what happened to our I 130 petition I hope they don't send I 130 tomorrow with a different case number grrrrrrrrrrrr, the girl on the phone from NVC says I have 6 more weeks to wait for a case number hahah strange things are beginning to happen here is this normal? let me know anybody? thank you . Diana
