    We received NOA2 on April 1st, and it was sent to DOS on May 20th. Even 4-6 weeks is hopeful right now. That was 7 weeks.

    Our case was sent to DOS May 20, sent inquiry June 3rd and received case number June 9th. They send to the embassies every 2 weeks, so we are hoping it will go out this coming Tuesday or Wednesday.

    Alright. Yes, I did see on the website that they made it that you can do the interview right away if everything is complete at the prescreening appointment, but I did not know that you wait to pay the visa fee until that time. Did they give you any idea how long it might take for an appointment? We have our NOA2 now, but it's still hard to plan because timing is so unknown. I guess, "Be flexible, or be miserable."

    Have you figured anything out with your payment and scheduling?

    The information about them scheduling a date for you is from others who have done it recently since the new system was put in place. I would think you would still have to request for an interview anyway, but I have not done it myself yet. Waiting for NOA2.

    AVITS Website Are you using this site? It is the new site for some African countries. From what I understand, they will now send you an interview date. You do not schedule online. And the US embassy of Ghana lists K1 as an immigrant visa.
