    Thanks. It already feels way to loooooooooooooooooooooooooong. I would have been in this 'line' a month ago if the stupid international courier hadn't misplaced the package with her documentation. But hey, I am still happy. It is finally in.

    So sorry about that, I know what you are talking about, like we paid this attorney $1700 for the K-1 visa we waited 3 almost 3 months and nothing happened, the we had to start all over again with a new attorney…

    But there is always a happy ending.

    Now that you have so much time on your hands try to get all the info about the interview medical and everything else always be a step ahead. So that when the day final comes you will now what do next.

    Hi Guys,

    Just want to share this with everyone. I was a bit surprised to see how fast it was.

    1.) Sent my I-129F on 4/20/10 to CSC

    2.) CSC received my application on 4/21/10 and issused NOA1 same day!!!!!

    3.) Check cashed on 4/22/10 (got the case no. from the posted check receipt from my bank online, loged in to USCIS and saw the NOA1 issued already on 4/21/10, NICE)

    4.) NOA1 in hand on monday 4/26/10, less then a week after sending my application.

    I knew NOA1 is ususally fast as its just an acknoledgement that USCIS have the application but I was still really surprised to see how fast this was.

    I just hope the rest of the process goes this fast. I have waited long enough.

    Need to be present at interview?

    Hi all,

    I've noticed that in various topics people make reference to the USC being present at the fiance's embassy interview. That stage is a ways off for me, but is that necessary/recommended in all cases? I seem to see plenty of cases where the USC is not present. I ask because I work in academia and I suspect my fiance will get his interview over the summer or fall, and it would be a bit complicated to travel to Scandinavia for this one event. Any explanation, reassurance, or opinions will be mightily appreciated.

    My interview was in Stockholm Sweden, I went there by myself even though me and my fiancé (at that time) ware over a 1and half apart from each other.

    You just need to have proof that you DO have a relationship and be able to answer the questions!

    hi to everyone in this forum

    we just recieve NOA1 march 3 2010 my question is how long does it takes to recieve the NOA2 i saw in vj timelines usually takes only 3 to 4 months is this true????? i don't have any idea about this thanks and god bless to us

    Like “Meggymo” said, if everything was filled correctly, no longer than 6 months, but everything is possible on this journey! I have seeing people getting approved in just 2 months and others in a 1 year!

    You have a lot of time on your hands use it right, try to do as much as you can, getter info about your medical and interview!!! Good Luck my friend!!

    I just looked, I was able to get the receipt number and go online to check on it. It says it is in the "Initial Review" stage. I was able to set up email and text notification. Is this the same as a NOA just a online record of it?

    What does Touched mean?

    A touch means that someone looked at your paper work, for some people a touch don’t mean anything for me was like Christmas morning, just to know that your papers are not lost on someone’s table made me so HAPPY!

    If I were you I would call your police department and ask how long it will take to get the police report! And no the vaccines are not included in the medical that’s something that you need to have with you the day of your medical!

    you still have a lot of time to obtain all the info you need! Good Luck!
