I did biometrics in Memphis at 1 p.m. today and made an INFOPASS appointment (for a stamp) for 1:30 p.m. in case biometrics took longer than I expected. I got the biometrics done within 5 minutes and I left Memphis with my passport stamped at 1:32 pm. Today is April 21st and my greencard expires on May 2nd. BTW, ASC and USCIS office are in the same building at Memphis office. The lady who helped me seemed to know what was going on with I 751 Texas situation because she started nodding once I said I never received NOA and my greencard would expire in ten days. She didn't even give me a chance to ask for the stamp. She didn't take my greencard.

Shari: I've never checked status before I got the biometrics letter. I'm sorry.

I checked my case status and it shows as follows:
Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: This case has been sent to another office for processing because it has jurisdiction over the case.

On March 18, 2008, we transferred this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED to our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Qingquin - had you checked your case status before today and if so, did it originally show you were in Texas and then updated with the new case status? I am wondering because some of us on our status show our files are in Texas and we think we are staying there. I was wondering if at one point your case status showed Texas and then they changed you to Vermont . . . like is there a possibility any more of us will be transferred to Vermont if our case status TODAY still shows Texas (I hope I'm not confusing anyone).

Although it shows TSC on my biometrics letter, it looks my case is at VSC now.

I got the biometrics letter yesterday. The appointment is at 1 pm on April 21st in Memphis. I still haven't got NOA. My card expires on May 2nd and I'm leaving for China on April 28th so I'll try to get a stamp while I'm there. Hope it'll work out. As I don't have the letter at hand and can't check my online status, I'll let you guys know once I get it today and see whether it's been transferred.
