  1. Hi, Elena

We will have our interview on Monday. It took just over one month from NOA2 (1/2)1 to our interview (2/23). I would call the NVC, there is a good chance it has already left for Kiev. Our was at NVC for only a few days. When you call NVC ask for your KEV# with this you can get a medical appointment (more info. here: http://kiev.usembassy.gov/visa_K1K2_eng.html). Download info packet.

    Good luck!!

  2. This is out of the instructions they give you for interview.

COPIES AND TRANSLATIONS When you arrive for the interview, you MUST present

all the original documents accompanied by a photocopy and an English translation, which

is produced by a certified translator. After the interview, all originals except police

certificates and the medical examination report will be returned to you.

    All our translations say....

  3. Hi All,

Well Im in the final stages of putting together my I-129. I have a question though why do you need a copy of the front and back of your birth certificate? I have a certfied copy of mine (since the original is kept at the state house) and there is nothing on the back. Im from Ohio do some states use both front and back? Also should I leave a note explaining this in my packet? Thanks for your help in advance. This site has meant a lot to me and I would like to thank all of you that work hard at answering our questions and keeping this place up and running.

I used only a copy of my complete (front cover to back cover) US Passport. I did not send my birth certificate. I was using visa stamps as proof of meeting.

  4. We will have our interview on 2/23!!!!!!!! We received email today say they sent Packet 3 on 2/6 and we called today!!!! I will leave 2/20!!!!

don't wait for the P3 in the mail... get it off the website... my now wife's never arrived.

Thanks, we download the P3 some time ago. I think mail may be getting better in Ukraine, P3 arrived today 2/10.

Very soon she will wake up and head to Kiev for medical exam today. The only thing we need now.

Also the email they sent me also had everything that is in the P3 attached to it.

    Thanks again

  5. Might be too late, but one last question.

I'm about to send off my packet. As part of my evidence of having met in the past year, I have flight boarding pass and other evidence of having been in China with my fiancee. Obviously, some of this evidence is going to contain Chinese characters. Do I need to get an official translation of this stuff? I know you do at later stages for police reports, etc, but at this stage it shouldn't matter since the boarding pass has English too, or it is only being used to show I was in China (and what the characters might say aren't really too relevant), or simply supplementary proof (and so maybe I should take it out).

    THanks.

My secondary evidence train tickets, money exchange and some misc receipts were in the native language. I did write train ticket and were it was going etc... on the photocopies.

I had no problems with them.

    Good luck!
