  1. Hi,

My wife's naturalization interview is going to take place on Jan 18th. She got a letter just last Wed listing additional documents she needs to bring to the interview, including her CA driver's license or state issued ID. Problem is she has neither since she doesn't drive, and never bothered to get the state issused ID. She's going to the DMV on Monday to apply for her state issued ID, but I'm afraid she won't get it before her interview. What is going to happen then? She has been working for the past 2.5hr years, and has documents like W2 forms and mortgage payments to prove that she lives in California. Will her application get delayed, or denied because she doesn't have state issued ID.

    thanks

  2. Hi,

This is probably a stupid question, but I just wanted to make sure. My wife came to the US a year ago with a K1 visa, and she got her permanent residence green card in Jan of this year (expires in 2yr). I'm going on a business trip to Toronto, Canada this coming weekend, and she wants to come with me to visit her brother. I'll stay for 1 week, and she'll stay for probably 2 weeks. She has a passport from China. My concern is will she run into problems when she comes back into the US from Canada. Will the immigration officers at the airport give her a hard time, like an interview, or something? Or am I just worried over nothing.

    thanks
