Hello,We have finally received our interview date for Oct. 2nd at the Juarez Consulate.
My question is I had not sent the DS-230 with all the paperwork yet when I received the interview date. I sent all the paperwork requested with the DS-230 and now the instructions that came with the interview letter is asking for some of the paper work I sent with the DS-230??? Is this normal or will i have to come up with original documents again or will they have what i sent them.
Another question is....what is recommended for us to take to the interview besides our paperwork? Is this where they will be asking for evidence of our marraige and all that good stuff?
Anyone with information or instructions on what to do to prepare for our interview please feel free to let me know.. WE WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!
THANKS

Really?!! Cool! Well thanks for the info!
At the US consulate in Juarez, you will not even be able to step foot inside the building. -
to be honest with you i don't know... i'm confused now..from what YuandDan just told me... but i just sent the DS-230 on Sept. 8th to the NVC...if that answer your question. Sorry
When did you submit your Packet -3 ,,, We submitted our Packet 3 adn waiting for Packet 4 in Dhaka now.... How long it took for you to get the interview date. -
So what you are saying is that i should re-schedule the interview I already have and wait for the DS-230 process to go thru and get an interview date on that? It sounds like I received interview for the I-129F part of it and not the I-130? Would you say the same?
Where did you send the first DS-230 and paperwork? NVC?K-3 is actualy to visa processes, I-130 for CR-1/IR-1 which has you send documentation to NVC, and I-129F for K-3 which has you send or bring documentation to the consulate.
If you sent documentation to NVC and it seems like NVC is close to sending the I-130 on to consulate, you may want to reschedule K-3 interview, if I-130 and documentation gets sent to consulate before K-3 interview, the consulate will drop the K-3, and interview you for CR-1 visa.
If you enter the USA on CR-1 visa, then NO AOS needed. CR-1 has the advantage of GREEN-CARD on entry to the USA, and can imediatly take a JOB, get SSN, and apply for a driver's licenence after getting SSN. K-3 CANNOT take a JOB, get SSN, or apply for driver's license until after getting EAD or Green-card. EAD can take 90 days or more.
CR-1 saves $$$
K-3:
I-130: $355
I-129F: NONE
Consulate: $131
AOS: $1010
($1496)
CR-1
I-130: $355
NVC I-864: $70
NVC Visa fee: $400 ($355+$45)
($825)

Hello Again,
Sorry forgot to add this to my last post.... But my question is do I have to be with my wife at the interview? Will I be allowed in with her or does she go in by herself?
Thanks

Hello,
We are to the point where we are waiting to receive the DS-230 and return it with all the original documents and translated documents... My question can I translate the documents since I am completely fluent in English and Spanish or do I have to pay a Certified Translator?
Anyone with information on this please let me know
Thanks, B)

Hello,
There is a possibility that when my wife goes to her interview at the Consulate she maybe asked for a waiver? since she overstayed a visa while in the US. Anybody know how long this takes or how long it might delay her coming to the US?
Thanks

Question???
My wife was previously in the US which is where we met, and she had overstayed her B1/B2 visa. She is now back in Mexico and we are going thru this long process. I have received a NOA on my I-130 and now we are dealing with the NVC. Has anyone gone thru this process? What are the chances of my wife getting denied or approved?
