@M and Mike They having the passport doesn’t really matter. I’ve seen instances where they keep the passport for over a year. My husband needed it for other purpose so we had to request it back. I’m positive if they’re ready to issue the visa, they’ll let us send it. They still have our marriage certificate and the divorce decree. When we submitted the inquiry, they said they don’t require any additional documents and we don’t have to do anything again. But as at the time, the review on our case is still ongoing. I have a feeling they’re trying to confirm the authenticity of our marriage or marriage certificate since we did not get married in London but our home country. Thank you 😊
Any updates?

They can do, whether you'd want to shorten your visa validity h is another matter. I booked mine before I had the IL as we only had one possible week that we could all have had the medical done, and we knew we'd be leaving as soon as we had the visas through anyway.
My wife just had her interview but the officer asked her to email her our photos together, our combined financials, my traveling history to meet her and our conversation screen shots. I emailed those today. Is that normal or we were just picked randomly for this due diligence? -

Hi, just wondering if the trend ever changes when they send out IL’s? We were DQ’d on April 24th and have not received our IL yet for our IR1. Just wondering if it is likely that it will be this week or next week or is it going to be the very end of June? Just have not heard anyone mid/end April to get their IL. Thanks for your opinion!
I thinking you should here something this week for sure..

Oh right! How did you find that out?
Oh well I was in communication with the London office and they said, they don't see her appointment registered here. You can't go in the embassy without registering the appointment on that site. That's how you pick up your passport back or get delivered to your address..

That’s great! Congrats!
I just found out that you have to register your appointment on this site https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv once you receive an interview date from NVC. Just FYI

Thank you for that! We are ready to move so I think I am going to try and book it!
Good Idea. Also Today received an email from NVC for interview date. We have an interview on June 11th.

Tbh I'm really surprised that London accepted her case if she's not resident there, they're usually super strict on that.

Just was hoping we would get an appointment at the end of June but looks like that is extremely slim. Going to call tomorrow to make an appointment hopefully for the medical in London. Have you scheduled your medical yet?
I think they don’t do medical without interview date because medical usually expires in 6 months. I will keep you posted if we get an interview call…

Nope, nothing yet. What’s your situation?

Quick update: I spoke with the Visa Medicals in London. They mentioned that having your current doctor from Tunisia provide a letter of her good health should suffice. As for the police certificate, you can obtain it online if you've spent more than 6 months in the UK. It's a straightforward process. Otherwise, it's not needed. If we get our interview scheduled, I will post here..

Which country is your wife from and what was your reason for the request? This information could be really helpful for others who might not have a consulate and are experiencing long waits…
She's from Tunisia. Since we've been spending time together in the UK, we requested to have our processing done in London. We provided them with a valid address and proof of her legal status in the UK as a visitor. In fact, we submitted that request to USCIS just as our petition was on the verge of approval. They updated her address to the UK address and sent the approved petition with the new address to NVC. NVC decided to do our processing in London. We are still waiting for interview though..

Yeah I was also surprised when NVC decided to send it to London upon our request. She got the police cert though… It was online and very easy…

We are still waiting for interview letter. I hope we don’t get hit with AP. What’s your experience with AP?

Previously you've said your wife is the beneficiary? So you don't need your summary care record at all, she just needs hers.
You are correct. The beneficiary is my wife. I was actually asking the question on her behalf. I am aware that, as a US citizen, I don’t need the records in UK, but she does, and she doesn't have a general practitioner here.

I'm new to the UK, less than three months to be precise. I'm currently on a visit visa and will soon be scheduling my medical examination for CR1 in London. One of the requirements is to bring a patient summary from your GP. However, since I don't have any GP in the UK, I'm unsure if I still need to produce this summary printout. Any thoughts?

I am new to UK and has no GP. I am visiting UK. Do I still need a care records from GP when I don’t have one..

Usually pretty quick via London, the last lot of interviews for CR1 were sent out in early March. My guess is that she'll have missed the next batch but get an IL in May (that is just a guess though).
There's no fixed cut off, it seems to vary each month, I guess depending on how many cases they have to schedule, and how quickly slots fill.
Good luck.
Thanks for you reply. That's very encouraging. How far is the interview scheduled from the IL? If interview successful, how long it takes to get the passport back with a stamp. Sorry asking so many questions..

My wife currently lives in London. She was Documentarily Qualified (DQ) on March 27th, 2024. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for an interview to be scheduled from the date of DQ at the US London Embassy? Also, does anyone know what part of the month is the cutoff time for the National Visa Center (NVC) to schedule interviews?

We have been married since March 8th, 2023. We only provided wedding pics. Initial package didn’t have traveling history/boarding passes. Also, we didn’t initially submit any chat history or combined financial. All of this is now emailed to them…
