I’m about to bring my fiancé to the US. My only question is with the affidavit of support. About two and a half years ago both of my parents were diagnosed with cancer about two months apart. Long story short with all of the appointments and everything I paused my career to care for them and make sure they got to all off their specialists etc. I have about 500k in assets and no debt. Most of this is in my home value. I just recently started back at work where I’ll make 8-15k per month. I’m worried that the lack of income over that period will be a problem. I can get another sponsor but I’d rather not if possible. Thoughts? Also my dad passed and my mom is doing great.
