so my interview went really ####### and the officer did not believe we were married yet we provided every proof possible.. he also questioned my faith and country of origin and i felt he really did not like us. so he asked for extra evidence. job letters, statements showing my husband as beneficiary and vice-versa... so we mailed those on nov 9. being that i was going to go back home on december 16, i scheduled an info pass to ask about worst case scenarios if my application were to be denied...

while there, me and the lady officer sparked a conversation about my motorcycle and all. well guess what, she approved me one the spot and stamped my passport with the I-551.

Can i ask for better? no. my husband and i are so happy and lucky to have been in this situation. I personally believe that the infopass is useful if you are nice, calm, and presentable.

i just made an info pass appointment and the officer approved me !!!! stamped my passport and all....

i was scared of being denied since our interview went horrible.. but now i am glad!!!! finally got it done!

THEY STAMPED MY PASSPORT YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GOT THE I-551 STAMP...!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW NICE THE LADY AT THE INFO PASS WAS... SHE STAMPED AND APPROVED ME IMMEDIATELY!

i know it sounds stupid. but i just want to have a positive hope..

so if i'm neither approved nor denied, pretty much in limbo, there is no chance they can approve me right there? i'm just hoping there is a chance for something...

stamp my passport with I-551 .. like an instant approval or something.

quick summary: my husband and i had our interview (oct 21) , it didnt go that well but the officer stated that if we got him 3 documents, we would be good to go. so we mailed him the three documents (november 10) and still haven't had any updates. I have an AP, and i am flying back home to see my family on december 16 to december 23. i am worried that if my case gets denied, i will not be able to come back in the country... therefore i scheduled an iNFO pass for december 10 in hopes to get something out...

1) is there any chance they might stamp my passport?

2) any chance they might tell me if it is atleast approved?

3) what do you recommend i ask??

please help, i am in a worrying state right now and my attorney was not too helpful..

hey.. i had the exact same situation.. did you have the interview in tampa? if so, was it a guy name MAYER? he was an ####### to us.. i still have no response.. he asked for more evidence.. we sent him more evidence and nothing yet.

they took my I-94 too. i wasn't told if i was approved yet either....

and i need to leave the country in 3 weeks. i have an AP... will i be ok??????? help!

i did, i'm on your same boat. the officer though did doubt us on october 20. but said to us "if you give me XYZ documents mailed to me, then there will be no need for an additional interview" .. so we submitted the extra evidence on november 7. it was received by them on november 10, and no info yet.. very worried, as i need to head home this christmas and i lost my AP...

My interview went #######. We went in on Oct 21st , and the officer separated me from my husband immediately. Asked me millions of questions, some uncomfortable. And then brought my husband in, asked him the same questions.. my husband got a couple of ones wrong. Then he took me to wait outside, and did the same process with my husband.. brought me back in, and asked me the questions. He questioned if we were married forreal, asked us how this and that can be possible, why I had a diff address… made us really uncomfy and nervous. Then he asked us for our insurance cards, told him that my husband wasn’t on my health plan but was on my vision plan. Asked us for employment letters for both me (immigrant) and my husband (USCitizen), and we told him that I wasn’t informed I needed mine, and that my husband’s job has constantly refused to give employment letters because its in their policy. He said if we don’t give him this information within 30 days, application will be denied..

I cried so hard outside when we left, and called my attorney. After about 15 days, we managed to force my husbands job to give us an employment letter, got my vision plan with my husband printed off online, and my job letter. All in all, we mailed it on November 7th, and it was delivered on nov 10th.

We are still waiting for a response and I am super nervous now. It’s been 9 days. Any idea of how long it takes?

One thing the officer did say is that, if we presented the evidence needed, then no additional interview will be necessary. Is that good or bad??

I'm usually very good at writing to people, however my congresswoman makes me nervous. I wanted to ask about what the hell is going on in the local tampa immigration office and why they haven't even processed 2007 AOS yet. I'm in DEP in the army, and can't ship to basic training until i get my interview/i-551 stamp or green card. i just need to expedite it.

i'm a March 2008 filer, who hasn't been transferred, but i have received my EAD and AP in may.

if anyone has a regular copy n paste format i can use, or any ideas, that would be great. thanks!!!!!!

my ead was approved at 11pm... AP at 5am.... weird i know.. but still... if they are working for me.. then thank you USCIS!

anyone know how long it take to get social security card once you apply?

i live on WAters and Armenia. Our apartment complex is called Carlyle at Waters. I commute from home to school (downtown tampa near the port) every day.. it takes me literally 15 mins on my scooter. 12 in my car. Armenia avenue is pretty straightforward and doesn't get congested that often.

Let me know if you are interested. My 1 bedroom apartment with lake view is 580 a month. without lake view it would be 525.

If anything, send me a pm and I can show u around tampa apartments. I'm kinda an expert in this now lol.. i had to show around 50 apartments before settling for this one.

I got my AP ordered today..!! just a day after my EAD!!!

now all i got to do is wait for them!! woohoo

how long after EAD approval am i supposed to wait to get AP?

I GOT APPROVED!!!! I just need my AP right now and i'm happy!!!

I have been contacted by some.. a particular one more than others.. creepy.. personal info asked and all.... my mistake was that being a friendly person i gave in... now my marriage is in jeopardy because of this situation..................

it might be a lil error on USCIS and it might be blocked since 4/3

.. my AP and I-130 have been intact since 4/3......

i'm losing patience.. i had my biometrics on 4/23 and received a touch that day, and on 4/24.. and THAT's IT..... i'm hoping to see my AP as soon as possible because i really want to go home..... also EAD because my reception is in 25 days and we're still short on money for things... dammit...... i'm losing patience BIG time.

i have a 2007 corolla... and a scooter... my corolla gets about 30mpg.... my scooter 120mpg....

i love my scooter.. hate my corolla (because of the looks)...

May I ask how much you paid for your scooter and what brand/size is it?

i paid $1350 for it.. it's a zongshen metro 50. 50cc no endorsment or insurance required... and with me and my husband on it, we go at 40mph... me solo, i go at 50 mph...

it's a pretty good investment in my opinion..
