Yes, the 2 times he came before my sister petitioned for him, he showed ties like job,bank account etc. My concern is when many years ago , in 2008 I applied student visa to my son and the Consulate in Brazil said he could not receive any temporary visa because he had process for green car so he had to wait in Brazil because temporary visa can not to show immigration intention and he had it.

My nephew has tourist visa so he is coming again to visit my sister .Our doubt is since she applied last year for bringing him , is the first time he is  coming after that so will it a problem when he arrives because on the computer will show he has process for green card? Will be allowed for

his entrance or will be canceled his tourist visa ?

Sorry Hura,I did not understand...The embassy does not send nothing more with instructions like doctors address? When my husband applied for my fiancé visa, the consulate in Brazil sent me a packet by post office with paper to take to department police and others instructions. So ,now, I thought would be the same.

My son and I received the email from USCIS about his interview day. My question is: Does the Consulate in Brazil to send some letter with instructions? If yes, how long after of email?

I am in Brazil waiting for my son interview date, so I asked my husband in US to call to NVC .Was told him ,my son's interview date will be in February 11th at 7:20 am. I did not receive the email for this yet.

Finally, i got my IL yesterday, and my interview is on 27th Jan.

Today I just did a visa status check on the site. (ceac.state.gov) They updated my status on 17 Dec, 2014. I think I will get IL soon.

When we check our visa status what information shows there if our case was not updated yet? And if it was updated, what information shows ?

Do you really think is there any F2B available??

Dude, I have tried to find out on many other sites. No trace of any F2B from rest of the world of year 2007 and 2008 have been found. There should be some provision in this broken immigration system to allocate those unused numbers of F2B to F1, rather than pouring them downwards to F3 or EB categories and make us wait in hell situation.This is not fair at all.

Tomorrow September 30 my husband is going to USCIS ( I asked him to go because I am in Brazil ) for an appointment just to know why the F2B category is ahead of F1.

Received IL after 5pm today appointment is on September 15th at 7:30am.

Congrats Pickneygal ! Wow, if your interview is on September 15th and your priority date April 23th,are 7 years,4 months and 22 days until your interview. So, by this slow way , my son will have his almost 5 months from his PD month ( July9)

Finally I got my green card.

And my daughter got her immigrant visa.

Now, is search for a telecommunication job at NY.

I just received mine: My priority date is March 26th, 2007. My Interview is on the 1st of July at 7:30 am.

May God be with all of us: those of us with upcoming interviews as well as those of us still waiting for interview letters and those waiting for their priority date to be current.

I don't know how to answer this question. About 1 and a half month ago we called immigration to ask if all our paperwork was complete because I thought it was and I wanted to confirm. They said no. I need to complete another I-864 affidavit of support, complete visa application for residency and Pay $ 230.00 processing fee. We also had other items to complete. I asked when they were planning to tell me about this and they told me they sent an email in June 2011. Checked that email to find they only told me that I must pay an application fee of $88.00. I paid this at that time.
