  1. Montreal is one of the most fun cities in Canada...great restaurants, lots of different festivals in the summer (Just For Laughs, Jazzfest, International Fireworks displays, the old port fun, just to mention a few). The underground city is something to behold, as well as the Mount Royal lookout. Montreal has an awful lot to offer to anyone looking to explore...Have a great time!

  2. If you are in the Montreal area, and having your medical there, the Medisys clinic will do the medical based on the front page you received with Packet 3. I didn't receive my interview letter until a week before the interview, and since it takes 3 days for the medical results to come through, you'd be well-served to book your medical very, very soon!

    Good luck :-)

  3. Hi,

I did the same thing; sent in the form with Packet 3 as instructed to the Montreal consulate. They do not ask for a copy of it in the interview, but they do give you the original back to you, in order for you to sign it in front of them. (in the space that's marked "Do not write under this line". Hope this helps allay some fears.

Good luck at the interview!! I understand the 13 month nightmare...check out my timeline. *LOL*

  4. Thank your for all of the good thoughts everyone. It's been a long, tough road in the past year, and we really need to have this over and done with, and I need to go home.

Hopefully I'll be able to sleep tonight. *LOL* But yes, I will keep everyone posted and give my interview review by Wednesday!

  5. hmmm...this is the first time I ever got a message saying all specialists were busy, and it hung up on me. I called back and the wait is 5 minutes...which is easier said then done while watching a 10 month old!!

Yea, I got the same recording once. I was like huh?!?! Not used to them saying that. lol

Well??? Did you get an interview date???

    *smiles*

Yes, I'm the Carrie portion of Aaron & Carrie. We only found this site just before we received the NOA2. I too wish that we had found it sooner, because even though I haven't posted in many links, it's been a constant source of strength for me for the past few months. Reading others' stories made me feel not so adrift and alone in this process.

  6. If your kids are Canadian citizens, your ex will have to supply a letter of permission, including the date of departure and return, and identifying each child by full name, and the full name of the parent travelling with them, also providing where (what state) they are travelling to. A passport for each is good; having their birth certificates as well isn't a bad idea either.

    Good luck!

  7. Oh man! i think i will be crazy in no time, this waiting period makes me so sick now,it has been

nearly 160 days now since we filed our I-129F,We called USCIS but the lady said they cant do anything since our case is still within the timelines. They touched our case for couple of times last month and until we dont have any "good"news

i am really wondering what they are doing with our documents?Did they accidentally throw it?

    or something???

I just want to scream now, cry, everyday im checking my email and hoping and praying some miracle from heaven will happened and will get the approval.Im really trying to stretch out my patience ,i dont know until when can i do this.

    Sorry for this folks.

Okay i feel a little bit better now.

Please don't give up...We waited 301 days for our NOA2, from May 30/07 to Mar 26/08. If I come away with anything positive from this experience, it's that I will never take Aaron or our relationship for granted, because every time I feel like I'm starting to, I'll remember this horrible wait and how difficult it is to be apart from each other, and how much I cried every time I watched him leave to go back home without me.
