  1. Hi, my UK fiancée is just about to send her forms to the US consulate in London.

The forms required are the IV15K (checklist and application readiness), D156, D156K , D157 and D 230 (part 1 and 2) . She is advised multiple times about not sending documents and to bring them to interview and yet form D156K states attach documents.

There seems to be conflicting information on what to send here and so she’s wondering is it just the checklist that’s sent off with the other forms and documents required at the interview?

If you’ve experience of this stage could you advise if the previous forms are to be posted so if you’ve completed this stage can you advise what forms are required to be sent at this stage compared to what forms you bring along to the interview.

    thanks

  2. My fiance(e) has received letter from the US Embassy in London. It has a few web links to fill out forms. in it is says

"Document requirements for the application are listed below:"

and it has a list of things Birth certificates, Adoption certificates, Passports,Marriage certificates etc etc. Do we send them or do we take them with us to interview. Here is the link they sent us. http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/iv/iv_15.html

    Thanks,

    Dan

  3. Hi,

I am so confused about green cards. The more I read the lees I understand. Me and my fiancée have not starred the k1 process yet.

What we would like to know is if she will be able to work when she arrives . I have seen in a a post that says she might have to enter at jfk to get a stamp to work. I just don't understand how and when she will be abel to work. We don't have huge bank accounts and we both need to work.

    Thanks,

    Dan
