  1. Yes you can, I'd e-mail Montreal and let them know what you intend to do (since Toronto doesn't do any immigrant or K visa interviews)

Also, where are you in NVC with your I-130?

    Good luck.

    Hi

I've been in Los Angeles since last june but we had to move back to Toronto shortly after that. My K3 expires in June 2010.

I haven't done anything after I got the K3. I've been married to USC for 15 yrs and need some help. I had a lawyer get me the k3 but don't want to spend anymore money if I don't have to.

Any ideas of what my next move should be?

  2. Hey!!

Still waiting for an interview date.. Anyone else?!?!

I call everyday and everytime they say no, my hopes start to go down and down. I knowww that I'll get a date soon but I would love to know so that I can start planning stuff like a move date and wedding date! (My family keeps bugging me cuz they need to book off work so that they can come to the wedding)

Anyways, Part of me wants to wait a little before I call again for the fear of hearing them say no interview date yet but at the same time.. I would hate to have a date given and not know.

Soonnn.. I can feel it.. but how soon is the question? lol

    Hello,

I don't really understand how they book the interviews....my eligibility date was May 5 and I have an interview set for June 27. Try to not get discouraged....think of it this way....one morning the DOS will say "yes...your scheduled for July ##.

    to

This process is absolutely the toughest thing I've ever had to endure....I've been married 16 yrs....3 beautiful kids...and due to an illness to my father in law all of our lives were turned upside down and now we must start over again.....but it's almost over for many of us waiting....good luck to all and congrats to those who have gone before us!!

I just can't believe that I'll be adopting a new NHL team....well I'll always love the LEAFS....but it looks like the DUCKS are my new team...that sucks eh?

  3. Review added. :)

Melusine, I hope you have (or had) a safe flight! Best of luck to you on Wednesday too and I can't wait to hear the good news. :D

    CBR, are you getting psyched?!

    Hello,

Just got off the phone with DOS......Interview scheduled for June 27 8:30am!

Good luck to everyone and Congrats to those who are on their way!!!!

  4. Hello,

    Congrats on your interview!!!!

So, if Montreal recieved packet 3 May 1 am I eligible yet?

    Thank you!

I don't know if you'd be eligible yet, you'd have to call DOS and ask them. Mine took a long time before it did, but Liz averages 6 days for it to happen. Though Melusine's also took some time too; the spreadsheet says March 26 for them but they were actually April 8 as well.

    DOS: # 202-663-1225 and press 1, then 0

    Thank you....

And definitely check out Liz's spreadsheet.

You can see there the averages and individual wait times we're all going through at the moment. It's taking 2-3 months right about now.

Oh, and you most definitely do not get to pick your own date. You wait and wait and wait to hear from them and then you get what they give you.

Thank you for those links! I will have a look at them. We just booked a 2 week trip out to Australia in September for my husbands best friends wedding... I really hope the interview will not be scheduled then! Ah! I dont know what I would do! The tickets were so expensive! I actually hope that our interview will be way before then but we've heard nothing on our case since January and we filed our K-3 in October!

Hi there....not to be the bearer of bad news or anything but your interview won't be anytime in September....so go and enjoy Austrailia!!!

    Hey,

Congrats on your interview!! You know on your timeline "Eligible for interview" how do you find out whether your eligible?

  7. Hacking into people's accounts?

    Come on.

No offense to that person that got denied but one of them must have let it slip to the embassy in some way or the other.

I've never heard of them gaining access into people's personal email accounts.

I really don't think that's the case and I don't believe they are going into people's private and personal email accounts.

you should read it...they didn't get denied for their email...it was crazier then that....the guy spelled his name wrong or something stupid...anyhow..she said their file was 3 inches thick and she saw stuff that only existed in her email account...check it out...."I aint lying!"

I know, I read it a few days ago.

I think she may have been mistaken with what she saw....again, no offense to her whatsoever I just don't believe they do that.

You know that packet they send with you when you finally cross the border with your visa.......that you're not supposed to open....has anyone ever looked at what's in there? Maybe that's why they tell you not to open it....they probably have pictures from space of us freezing are asses off drinking timmies and complaining how it sucks to WAIT!

  9. My birthday is May 19th...Victoria Day weekend. :(

My parents are away too so...I'm going to be all alone on my bday.

Oh, right, duh, you are the Canadian -- Victoria Day!

I'm sorry Laura. Buy yourself a lovely bottle of wine and rent a good movie and think about how this is the last birthday you'll have to spend alone.

    Thanks lovey!! :)

    Hey

Did you guys see the "DENIED 2 Interview" in the topics below...WOW....they went to the interview and according to the person, the interviewer had gone into their email accounts!!

    #######

To be honest, I highly doubt this.

check it out...it's part of Bush's Patriot Act...I don't know...but according to her/him they had pictures of their religous African weddind ceremony that only existed on their email...it was never sent to their embassy..they sent in pictures but not those ones....I wonder......oh boy...no...they can't do that can they??

  10. I'm MTL2008 as well

    Hello Everyone,

According to our lawyer in LA and our Congressman the interview process is unlike the petition process ie. priority dates. The interviews are filled in batches ie. Monthly. So depending on the numbers one could have sent in packet 3 a month before the other but their interview dates could technically fall on the same day.

Until there is enough of us to fill up the month they won't issue interviews thus the inactivity for some Feb/Mar/Apr couples waiting for dates.

Here is the part that sucks...the later into spring/summer we go with no dates the longer the wait times get due to "holidays". In the spring/summer the number of interviews they book per month decreases by almost half due to understaffing.

Anyhow....we are farther along then most....keep calling....sooner or later everyone will get their day!

    Good Luck

  11. Is there anyway of doing your medical in the states? Does anyone know the number in Canada where you can get a record of our vacinations?

Nope, not unless you're going the AOS route. There is no number that I recall to get a list of your vaccinations but check with your family doctor, local board of health or even your school board to see if they have any records for you. The doctor is the place to start and many school kids were vaccinated at various times throughout their school years. In other places the local board of health did it. Check all three. Hope this helps.

    Thanks....Hey I'm from Markham too!
