    Hi Omileto,

They will send the passport and the sealed package less than a week, I recon it takes only 3-4 working days.

He will receive a notification from Emirates post, he will claim it to the emirates post address mentioned on the receipt email for his interview schedule.

    Hope this help!

Congrats as well to both of you ❤️

Thank you so much for responding! We did receive his visa. He picked it up from Empost as well.

I would like to share my experience in my K1 visa interview since there is no latest post for this topic.

First of all, we've waited for 2yrs to have this interview to happen, we didn't file or DIY for this application as my fiance don't have the patience to do the paper works so we hired an immigration lawyer to help us for the filling.

We filed the application Iin Feb 2021, got the approval July 2023, however we received the notice from US Embassy in Abu Dhabi in September 2023 coz the email address of my fiance in i-29 was wrong (so be careful and check thoroughly your application to avoid this to happen). And the interview date available when we booked was 20 Feb 2024.

Feb 20, 8:30am was my appointment date in US Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

Prior of that, I double check all my documents that I need to bring on my interview that was mentioned in the email I received from them. I put all my documents in a expanding folder, for easy access.

If you are alone and nobody will accompany you there, don't bring a bag with you.

I have only my purse and the expanding folder.

I didn't bring my mobile with me, coz I thought they will not allowed it inside, but you could bring it with you, they will ask you to switch off your mobile and smart watch if you are wearing that and leave it in the security.

I arrived 6am, and there were already 6 people there before me.

7:30 am, they started to check your appointment, there are two separate lines for non-immigrant and immigrant application, after that, they will let you inside the building and provide you the que no and asked you to seat in window 10-11 area.

past 8am they will call you to handover your documents (window 7-9), they ask for my passport + copy, original birth certificate + copy, original CENOMAR, his original divorce paper + copy, my original police clearance only (UAE, QATAR & NBI,they took all the original police cleanrance copies & they didn't return it back to me after the interview, other oringinal documents were returned to me), DS-160, email confirmation of the payment/ and date of interview & 2nos of 2x2 photos .

After that, you will proceed at biometrix window, then next step was the interview.

FYI, I thought there are separate room for the interview, but it is in the same area where they took your documents & biometrix.

IO window are 10 & 11 (there are two I.O. assigned for immigrants visa application and you can hear what the IO are asking from applicants, not sure if others heared  my answers during the interview).

The IO called me around 9:30am, and here are the questions.

    1. What is your full name?

    2. What is your fiance name?

    3. How you two met? and when?

    4. When did you start dating? Seeing each other in person?

    5. Where do you live?

    6. How long you've been in the UAE?

    7. What is the job of your fiance?

    8. Is this your first marriage? And how about your fiance?

    9. Do you have children?

    10. Have you been in the US? What was the longest date you spend in the US?

    11. What is your wedding plans?

Then she ask for the photos for the evidence that we are seeing each other. Like yearly, we see to it to see each other.

Answer the question direct, no need for any further explanations.

Then she told me, shes already satisfiied how our interview went and inform me that I will receive my passport within a week via epost.

Note: Even though I have all the necessary documents to support our relationship, I-34 and his finances (bank statement, emp. certificate, pay stubs, IRS tax etc.) she didn't ask about those. However, maybe it is case to case basis and depends on the I.O. how they accessing your applications. She was looking our file on her computer and the same time she have the packet of our i-20 hard copies in a folder. So better to bring all the evidence/ supporting documents that could help you in case they will ask for it.

    Good luck!!

Hello, this might be late but congratulations! My fiance also had the interview in Abu Dhabi and got approved! I was wondering how you received your passport with visa? They just told him that he got approved and wait 1 week for the visa and that he can go home. We are not sure if we're supposed to pick it up somewhere or they will mail it to us.

  3. This question is mostly for those who have experience interviewing in Abu Dhabi embassy but answers from other countries are also welcome. My fiance will have her interview in Abu Dhabi next week and I was just wondering how many times do we have to pay the $265 fee for the visa. We completed the DS-160 and was prompted to pay $265 online. However, upon checking the instructions sent in the Welcome e-mail (N03), it says in there to bring $265 worth of cash to pay for the visa fee. Are these two separate payments or can we just bring a receipt for our online payment? Thank you for all your help!

    This is crucial information above.

Go atop any VJ page to "Office Reviews & Info" and read reviews about Abu Dhabi.

Witness statements mean next to nothing.

Check your chats to see that you don't refer to yourselves in fun as "husband/wife."

Bear in mind that the consulate can refuse to review evidence that you bring.

My term of endearment to my fiance is "hub." Can't we just explain to them that it is a term of endearment rather than a solid redflag?

They want fresh, current evidence of the relationship. Anything already submitted will be reviewed at the interview. Good luck!

Thank you so much for answering! All we have are call and chat logs as evidence. What else do you think can be used as evidence? And when it comes to call and chat history, how far back should we go? Is 2 months prior to the interview enough to consider it as new/fresh evidences?

  6. Good day everyone! I am the petitioner and my fiance is about to go to the interview next month. It was stipulated in the e-mail sent by the consulate to provide evidence of relationship. Are these the same evidence we sent to USCIS when applying I-134 for the first time? Or do they mean more evidences to prove that our relationship is still ongoing? If so, what are the best evidences to bring if we haven't seen each other in person after submitting I-134? We were also thinking of collecting witness affidavits of our relationship but we are debating if it has any weight as an evidence. Please help. Thank you so much!

Normally, the consulate will automatically extend an approved I-129f in 4 month increments up to a year.  What they said is not really accurate.  I would email the consulate directly and inform them that you are requesting to extend the validity of the approved case.  The other option is just to assume the consulate will extend it...because they almost always do. I don't think you have to worry.  USCIS is not involved.

Thank you for responding! Do you know exactly what information should I include in the e-mail (e.g. case number etc)?

  8. Hello everyone! We managed to schedule an interview this May and we couldn't thank you all enough for the help! However, we have realized that our I-129F validity will expire days before the interview (There aren't enough slots for an interview and we needed to wait). We called the consulate in UAE to ask for an extension and they just said to contact USCIS/NVC for it. They said that all they could do in the consulate is to address inquiry and concerns about appointments. For people who did their interview in UAE, is this true or we just called the wrong person? Also, what is the best way to extend I-129F? Thank you in advance for all your help!

  9. Hello everyone! We just received an email from the US Consulate in Abu Dhabi that they have received my fiancé's case file. This includes instructions and what requirements to bring. However, we are wondering if there is a deadline for setting up an appointment for the interview. We are still in the middle of gathering some requirements and we would like to gather them all before getting a schedule for an interview. Thank you in advance for helping us figure it out.

  11. Hello everyone, it's my first in here so please bear with me.

My fiance is an oversea Filipino worker in Dubai and we are just about to file his DS-160 online. One of the things that are asked in there is Philippine National ID. My fiance has never been in the Philippines for five years and never had the chance to get one, is it possible to get this national ID online? We've been searching and couldn't find an answer (hence why I am here). Also, can someone explain to us what comes after submitting DS-160 online? Do we have to call the consulate in Abu Dhabi to schedule the interview? Hopefully someone can enlighten us. Thanks in advance!
