no problem. Now the countdown has started, she is coming on December 30th. What a way to start the new year.

Basically, it is very similar interview to the other members in the past.

She was taken inside around 7:30 and took her fingerprints.

-She was called for the first interview with an Indian officer. He asked her that you are very young to married. She told him that I am 21 and he laughed and said so you were waiting to be 21 to be married. He asked her about what I do and when we got married. She was then told that an american officer will interview her next but its going to be a while.

-She was called for the second interview and it was pretty straight forward. He asked her what I did for living, how we met, when we got married, where we got married, how many days I stayed after the marriage, did I go to visit her again, asked to show photos of when I went to see her, asked who all attended from my side from the US, who all lived with me. He then told her that her visa is approved and we will courier the passport within 2 days. She asked about picking up the same day but he told her it won't be ready and we will courier to you. She agreed and walked out.

I am so happy today as wife was given the visa without any issues. They will courier the passport within couple of days.

My wife has her visa interview tomorrow morning, December 23rd. I am very nervous and exicted at the same time. I am praying everything goes well and she is with me soon. I can't believe it but I am slowly starting to forgot the long VSC nightmare.

When people were getting transferred in August, it generally took about 20-30 for the approval after being transferred.

I would say go to USPS...Post Office and do Global Express Guaranteed Mailing ( with tracking number- goes via Fedex n chaper then Fedex rate ) 1 - 3 Days or u can do if u have good timeExpress Mail International 1-7 Days (chaper but not tracking number )

Great option! I just mailed my wife package to India using Express mail International for $5.15.

Are you sure you didn't send priority mail? Express mail cost 16 dollars for just in US.

My file was approved on Monday 11/3/08 & NVC schedule her interview on 11/4/08. She got appointment for December 23, 2008 at Mumbai, India..

Thank God & every one at VJ's we are done with USCIS & NVC!!!!!

Kman, Thank you, I think they will see each other in the waiting area it is usually about 5-10 people, where she is planning to go for her medical is it going to be AMD or Surat, keep me posted about your progress or just send me IM, do you planning to submit DS-230 and all the other paper again at VFS becasue they will ask for it again at VFS let me know what you are planning to do and I will also keep you updated.

She will do the medical in Ahmedabad. I will tell my wife to only pay the courier fees to VFS and that is it. I will tell her to have the copies of birth certificate, marriange certificate, the second copy of the passport office pcc and another filled out copy of DS230, and medical report when she goes to VFS. Unless VFS argues and won't give up, then I will tell her to not give them anything but the monies.

I received some visa interview information from NVC stating what day the interview is and what documents they have collected from us. The beneficiary receive a copy of this or just the agent?

I have a strong urge to email embassy and ask them if they can reschedule for an earlier date once it reaches the embassy. What do you guys think?

Do you really think we have to wait for it to reach the embassy before we can call and ask them to reschedule???

I was thinking to go ahead and contact them now since it should be in their computer system that we have an interview, right?

I am worried about a something going to wrong somewhere between NVC and the Embassy. I would rather wait until its out of NVC hand. are you thinking about emailing the embassy?
