We tried to get her a tourist visa when my wife first came here but she was denied, that's why I figured this would be a better way. Was she denied because my wife was not yet a citizen?

If its just for a visit her mom would just need to apply for a tourist visa.

What you have described is for immigrating here (IR5 visa).

She is undecided if she wants to live here so if we go the route that I have explained then it will cover all bases or am I wrong

I-130 for her mom

copy of her Birth certificate with her mom's name on it

copy of her passport and naturalization certificate

Do we need anything else?

Hi all, Our card production was ordered on March 23, does anyone know the average time to my mailbox, the only reason I am asking is that we are going out of the country on 4/1/09 and I would rather have the card as opposed to the stamp in passport.

Should ask yourself how close you are cutting it when that stamp expires. Learned during my airline extensive travel days not to set my watch by scheduled departure times, aircraft maintenance problems, weather, political problems, and strikes. From the first time we were notified by the USCIS, took about three weeks before those cards were in the mail, files had to be shipped from California to Kansas City where the card is made and depends how many they have to do, plus when they decide to mail it, plus mail delays.

Thanks, the stamp expires in June, I would have been more comfortable with the card and maybe that would have cut down the time wasted getting verified at the POE

This may be a simple question but I am gonna ask anyway. The new processing times were posted March 17 but when clicked it states: Service Center Processing Dates for Vermont Service Center as of: January 31, 2009. My question is why is there such a long gap between the 2 dates. Thanks

Package was received by INS May 9, 2008, Check Cashed May 13, 2008, NOA 1 recieved 5/19/08

I did not notice where it came from but the receipt number starts with SRC I think.

Did the NOA come from Texas or Vermont? We filed in December 2007 at Texas and the NOA came from Vermont (no transfer notice received).

Per USCIS the NOA is good for work and travel, so the stamp is not needed.

Hi all, I sent our I-751 on 5/9 and check was cashed on 5/14, I understand that TSC is not sending out NOA's, my question is how long should I wait to receive the biometrics appt. before I make an infopass appt. - the case number on the back of the cashed check does not give me case status. 2) Is there a specific way they want to package (paper clips, hole punch, binder) ?

I know it might be useless but I also need it for my personal records.

I just received my certified transcripts from the last 3 years (including 2007) today, I went to the local IRS office gave them my ID and had the transcripts in less then 5 minutes, all at no cost to me.
