How long has it been at NVC?

It was RECEIVED at NVC on 12/3/2024 and went IN TRANSIT on 12/17/2024 -- the hope is that it turns READY any day now but with the upcoming holiday I'm not too sure  *fingers crossed*

The Consular Officer conducting the interview will extend the validity of the NOA2 by 4 months at the time of the interview. They will not extend it beforehand. If it has been expired for a while, be prepared with updated Letters of Intent to Marry and proof of continuing relationship. This is nothing to worry about. They know that the interview stage can face several delays which is why they have the authority to extend the validity date in 4 month segments for up to one year.

Thank you so much for this response!  I was starting to get very worried as we are still waiting at NVC.

Hello everyone -- If the period of approval on my NOA2 will likely expire before I can schedule my interview what should I do?  The expiration is 1/16/2025.  Has anyone had this happen?
