You said you are both college students with little financial independence, I am not sure what that means for you as far as employment, and your ability to meet the financial guidelines for sponsoring her. Phillipines may still be, it surely once was, on the list of "high fraud" countries, which means you could face even more scrutiny. Spending less than three weeks together and speaking for four months may not be sufficient evidence for the uscis, that is always a risk when these petitions get filed in a relatively quick amount of time and after a relatively short time spent together. Not trying to rain on your parade, just bringing up some of the logisitics you'll need to be aware of.

Hey All, Our petition was approved in December, and we just recently were notified that the NVC would be sending it to the consulate in my beneifciary's country. Due to recent unexpected job loss, we are concerned about finances suddenly being a reason to deny our K1 visa. We both have assets and savings, and I am of course looking for new employment. Our i-129F is going to expire in March, IF I am understanding the timeline correctly (please correct me if I am mistaken!). Has anyone had to request a delay for an additional four months to revalidate the i-129F and been successful? Thank you!
