It has been more than a week since I contacted my congressman. I hope there will be at least some touches to my wife's case next week or sooner. Does anyone know the time frame between contacting Congressman --> touches --> Case Approval?
Jessipooh, Thanks! I have not heard anything about my daughters case, I did file an enquiry for her as well, but I'll wait and see.May Leo,
Congratulations! That is wonderful news.
Bora,
Thank you!

I am still waiting for any update from USCIS.
I tried to go to my location congressman's office last friday. But there was no one there. Then I found out my zip belongs to a different congressman...wasted my trip. I tried the call the correct local congressman's office but office was closed for Good Friday too... I emailed him through a form in his website.
I will wait 1-2 days for his response or I will call him later. Hope there is a good result.
Good luck to all May filers....

I'm really starting to wonder if theyve been using our applications as a coaster or to prop up a desk. I regret not filing for AP, its been almost a year since we've been to visit back home, and soon enough i'll have to apply for another EAD =/
hi Amanda-Lisa and Winterr,
I am in the same situation as you, sigh....
Amanda-Lisa, actually we both sent our AOS on the same day...May 4th, also got Biometrics on same day....May 30th. what a coincidence.
I havent had any update to my case since the EAD approval notice in August....I registered in USCIS in October but never received any email update.
Now, I am really regreted not to apply the AP with AOS (before the fee raised). I didnt expect the GC to take that long and still waiting.... We cant go anywhere outside of US, not even Canada or Caribbeans for vacation.
In a few months, probably May 2008, I will have to renew the EAD expiring in August 2008.
and Remove Condition 2 years from receiving the temporary GC, which we havent gotten yet.
its painful..........
I am wondering what I can do to make them at least touch my case. Its good that your cases were touched in recent months. Perhaps writing to the congressman can help.

Hey there fellow May filers! Hang in there Winter and MayLeo! Sucks to still be waiting for your green cards I am sure, but at least at this stage you are together, which is better than the K-1 wait apart! Hopefully you both get some great help from your respective congress persons!
Things are well here for us, heading rapidly towards a few significant dates, March 6th J will have been here for a year, and of course the really big day, March 14th our first Anniversary! Woo hoo!
hi I have been reading this post for a while. It seems there are some poeple got their GC really fast and some are forever..... My friend file in May as well and got his in Sept 2007. and another friend filed in April 2007 and got GC in Oct 2007 too.
Unfortunately, I am the latter one. I filed my AOS on May 4th, Finger printed on May 30th, got transferred to CSC on June 6th......Since then nothing updated to her case. Its really a stressful waiting.
I just called USCIS today (again) to try to pull out my case since I believe it is out of the processing time. (it's more than 180 days from both Receipt date and Transfer date). The Rep said since it was transferred, I have to make an appointment with the local office through Infopass for this request. As of today, New York City process time for AOS is May 14, 2007. This date has passed my case receipt date but not yet the transferred date. I dont know if I should make an appointment now or wait for a month until NYC process time pass my transfer date or any better solution.
