  1. Hi ArmenianGoddess,

Thanks for your reply. Congratulations on your new baby and on your green card approval too. Wow, I can't believe it took so long for your I-751 to be approved! You certainly deserve it, after 1yr+ of waiting! I agree, enjoy life with your baby now, instead of focusing on the stresses of the USCIS and immigration....

Likewise, I filed before I got pregnant (well, I had another miscarriage a few weeks before I filed and mentioned about that, but then got pregnant again a few months later after I filed and am still pregnant with this baby now). I didn't tell the USCIS about this new pregnancy update either, as I figured they are incompentent enough already, and it would further confuse them if I updated them with such. But yes, like you, if I ever did get called for an RFE and/or an Interview, I would definitely send them more evidence regarding this pregnancy (lol..3D ultrasound photos, medical notes, etc.), and even the birth certificate if that came in time too. Oh well, I'll be ready if they do ask for such, and yes, a pregnancy/baby/child certainly does add "additional proof" to a "genuine marriage/relationship".

Were you stressed out waiting for the green card while you were pregnant? If so, what did you do to help you better handle such?

Lol...as for "don't stress", that's easier said than done, really. Oh well, I'll just keep on "double waiting"...

Ant (Still waiting for I-751, Still waiting for Baby...)

Congrats!!! I have the same expiration date..We don't even want to think about the Citizenship right now..kind of enjoying the baby and the stressless life for a while  ...good luck to all of you who are still waiting

Kind of messed up on my first reply...

    To: Ant

We never told the USCIS when I got pregnant either...we filed before I was pregnant and then had a baby boy before I got approved..we thought that we would send the birth certificate in case we got an RFE but we didn't,thank God...the whole I751 journey lasted 13 months and 15 days for us...received the card on April 6th...good luck with your "double waiting" and don't stress!!!

    Hi,Ant

I agree with you,it is easier said than done, but I am just saying it so you do not stress over it since the baby"s health is more important...honestly,while I was pregnant and waiting for the GC,I did not stress a bit about the green card,it was the last thing on my mind...like you I also had a miscarriage before and I was so into my pregnancy that I didn't even care about anything else,I wanted this baby so bad that I just wanted to be pregnant without any complications...make a long story short,my only concentration and focus was the growth of my belly,lol...take care of yourself and my best wishes to you and your family!!!Good luck!!!

  2. Hi Craig2006,

Congratulations on your wife's recent VSC I-751 approval!

Onto the next stage of citizenship for you!

Ant (Still waiting for I-751, Still waiting for Baby...)

P.S. Congratulations too, on your new baby girl! What a co-incidence that it took 9 months for your baby, and at the same time it took 9 months to wait for your wife's new green card. Nevertheless, glad that both came for your family at almost the same time, and now that your wife has her new card, she can focus on the baby instead! I wonder though, did your wife ever have any stresses and/or difficulties while waiting for her card and being pregnant at the same time? (believe me, I understand this "double waiting" situation here). As well, did you notify the USCIS about your wife's pregancy when you submitted the I-751 application or after that?

My wife received her 10 year card in the mail today, which expires 4/1/2019, from CSC. Now it is on to Citizenship and we will be done.

Good luck to everyone that is still waiting. Hopefully all your approvals come quickly.

  4. Hi, Everyone. I have filed my case in May 08 to TSC. Then, it was transfered to VSC. I did my BIO and nothing updated after that. I didn't worried too much till now but after I see those people who filed around same time as mine started to get approved. My case hasn't updated anything like "touched". Anyway, as I was reading some of forums, I see people trying to contact to Congressman or Senater in the states. And it seems like it's working to find the case what's going on. Here are some my quesiotns.

1)Which is better to contact Congressman?? or Senater??

2)Writting letter is better than making a call?

    3) Are your cases' number start from SRC###? Because mine does. But should it be started as CR###???

If someone can help me to answer these quiestions, I'd really appreciate.. Thanks.

I am going to share my experience with you!!!Here is what happened to me...I applied in the middle of February,2008 and didn't hear anything nor I got any touches after my biometrics(March 2008)...so I called the 1800 # and they told me to wait 30 days after 1 year anniversary (which would be March 18th of 2009) and call again so they can forward an information request to VSC...I did call on the 18th,they submitted the request and told me that I would get an answer within 30 days...I got an email 2 days later, explaining that my case is under review right now and I should get a decision within 60 days(this is a standard email they send to everyone who requests info)...so being pissed off because of the long 13 month wait I called my senator's office and talked to the immigration specialist who told me to write a letter, include a copy of my extension letter and bio. letter and send it to their office, promising that they would try to find out what was taking VSC so long...on March 31st as I was heading to my mailbox to send the letter to the senator I found a letter in the mail from VSC dated March 25th...the letter stated that the expedite request had been approved and upon receipt of my letter requesting expeditious handling, the matter was reviewd and a determination was made that it met the criteria for special handling. The pettition/application will be reviewed and that I should be receiving notification from this office very shortly...without sending the letter to the senator I came back in the house and ran to check my email, see if I had a message from uscis website and guess what I had "card production ordered" email from them...then on April 1st I got the same email again that the card was ordered and then on the 6th I got the actual card in the mail...the whole I751 journey lasted 13 months and 15 days...it was very stressing and I would get really depressed every time I would see someone who had applied months after me and getting approved before me...but it all worked out at the end...there is still a light at the end of a tunnel..don't panic and don't stress, everything will be fine...I just wanted to share this, maybe to give you a hope?!...Good Luck!!!

  5. Hi,guys!!! So I got up this morning and checked my email,I had a message from CRIS,I opened and it was the the response for my request of info of my case...whatever...same thing I had last week, same exact thing...that your case is under review and you should hear something within 60 days...and it starts with Dear M. and my last name...but the thing is my name starts with "N" and not "M"..anyway,couple hours later I check my email again and guess what?..I have the "bestest" message I could ever get...as of March 31st my card production has been oredered...we are so freaking excited, like I can't even describe...because of this whole waiting and stressful process we don't even want to think about citizenship right now...anyway,I want to wish good luck to all of those who are still waiting, there is still light at the end of the tunnel..I just hope my card doesn't say my name wrong like the message does...anyway if you could update me on the list I would appreciate it...I am listed as Natalyok on it..Thanks and Good Luck again :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

  6. Hello, everyone...I just thought that this thread would be pretty helpful for people who are going to contact their Senator or Congressman...if you don't mind to tell us about your experience in details...like who had to contact(you or the USC spouse),how(phone, email, fax, letter via mail) and what did you tell them..I can't think of anything else right now but I think that this would be a great help!!! We are about to contact ours(not sure senator or congressman) and need some help and recommendation..we have been waiting for my 10 yr green card for 13 months now(VSC) and my heart breaks every time I see people who applied months after us getting approved...thanks for sharing,I am sure a lot of us here will be grateful too

  7. Congrats!!! Your case gives us hopes too...we have applied feb 2008 and nothing yet, last time was touched march 2008...so I called the 1800 # 2 days ago and requested info on the case and got the standard response via email today, saying that they are reviewing my case now and I should recieve a decision or other notice of action within 60 days...whatever,they tell this same ####### to everyone else who requests info..we just wonder which is better contacting the senator or making an infopass appt???...could you guys help us on this?..and what did you tell the senator???..thanks,I appreciate all the answers!!! Congrats again

  8. So after requesting some info on my case, this is the e-mail we got today

    "Type of service requested:

    -- Outside Normal Processing Times

The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter."

Seems like a standard letter that they send to everyone, doesn't it?..what do you guys think?..did everyone who requested info get this same exact response???...please let me know...good luck to all of us!!!

  9. I am so very worried about mine...it will be 13 months in couple days and last time my case was touched was march 23,2008 right after my biometrics...I wonder what's going on..and now that girl Mary found out that she had been denied?!..I wonder what's that all about..ughhh,I am just frustrated with all this waiting and having no idea what's going on........

Goddess. Have you made an INFOPASS appt.? My understanding is that once you wait a year you can do that to find out what is going on...

No,I haven't made one..just waiting till march 23rd,they said after 1 year and 30 days I can call and they will request some info for the case, but I really hope to be approved by then...patiently waiting...

  10. Hi,everyone...what's going on with VSC I wonder...I still haven't gotten my permanent GC and as of Feb.25 they are doing march 02 2008 and I have filed mine on Feb.16 2008..so I just called the USCIS and talked to the customer rep.,she said that I have to wait for another 20 some days and if then I still have no card,I should call and let them know so they can look into it...I just wonder what could be possibly wrong?...they are ridiculous and I am sick of waiting...

I applied 02/15/08 and they told me exactly the same thing that i still have to wait until March 17th (processing time) to talk to someone else. I have a INFOPASS for this friday and I will let you know any updates.

Do you think that they lost some of the files after 02/15/09 because alot of them are still waiting. :crying::crying:

Lost the files?!...nooooooo,don't say that...though I wouldn't be shocked, the way they process anything is possible...please let me know anything new you find out

I was joking..........cross my fingers :blush: I will let you know what they said in my INFOPASS.

haha,I was hoping so;)...ok,that sounds perfect, let me know and all I can do is wish you good luck...I hope they have some good and smart answers

  14. Hello, everyone!

I have some good news...apparently, my NOA1(1year extension) had been sent on Feb. 21 to my attorney and he just sent it out to me, I got it in today's mail, and the date on it says Receipt Date--Feb 19, Notice Date--Feb 21...they are working pretty fast so far..xx crossing my fingers xx...they sent me an extension notice even before cashing the check--nice:)...I hope everything goes nice and smooth for everyone else...Good Luck!!!

    PS Please update the list

Not to burst any bubbles or anything, but a quick NOA1 is no indication of how quickly they will actually adjudicate a petition. TSC gave us an NOA1 date of the day they actually received the petition. Ten months later, they had still done nothing, and sent it with all of the other old TSC petitions to VSC . . . .

BTW, your new name would have been a lot cooler written in l33t rather : 42m3n14n 60dd355

Oh, you are not bursting any bubbles, James :P ...I know how slow the process is, oh well...I had never ever heard of "l33t"...it does look cool though :star: ...would you mind adding my NOA1, so the list is accurate, please...02.21.08

I also wanted to ask about travelling outside of the US with the extension letter, is it recommended or not really?..I would really love to visit my brother some time in september?! What do you, guys think?..has anyone done so with the NOA1?
