  1. I think we are over the 250 day mark now. Our I-130 receit date is July 26, 2007. I have called my senator several times, uscis many times, and they all keep telling me i am within the timeline for my receipt date. tomorrow i call them again, and call them all liars!!. I am also going to file a complaint with the Ombudsman on Monday. PLEASE, everyone should do this, complain loud and long to congressmen, senators,vp cheney's office, the secretary of homeland security's office, and yes, even to the president!! Tomorrow I start my letter campaign!! I'm tired of listening to my wife cry with loneliness on the phone, worrying about them being kidnapped, and threats of war from the neighboring countries!! Good luck everyone, my prayers are for all of us who have to endure this misery.

  2. Hi folks,

My wife and I have a NOA1 of Oct, 2007, at the californis csc, and we're still waiting. According to the uscis web site and the VJ info on this site, we should have heard something in Feb 08. We are going to contact the ombudsman and make a complaint, and we thought it would carry more weight if there were other couples out there who are in the same situation and would like to go in with us on the complaint. Any takers? If so, reply or send us a message!!! I will pen the complaint this weekend, and try to send it Monday.

  5. thanks, i did disclose this and sent in all the documentation i had on my case, and i told my wife about it before we were married. i didn't think it would be this big a hurdle, though. i understand why the laws are there, but there is a way, isn't there?

  6. Well, after researching on vj and looking up the Walsh Act and reading it, I think I fall under the Act. My question is, under the Walsh Act there is what looks like the ability to request a waiver, taking into the account the type of crime, number of years since conviction, etc. Does anyone know anything about this, and how to go about it?

  7. Schedule and info pass and ask. Sounds like USCIS wants to run an FBI check on the US Citizen.

This is the first time I have read of this. This did not happen when we did our K-1.

No way to expedite, the government operates at their own pace.

well, i have a felony on my record from 16 years ago, but still, 60 days for an appointment?

  8. ok folks, here's one for you....I just got a letter saying my i-129f has been delayed because my(petitioner) backround check is not complete, and it says that i will receive a fingerprint appointment in the next 30-60 days. is this really how long it takes for them to send me an appointment notice? how can i expedite this? my wife and i both had heart attacks thinking that we will have to wait another 2-4 months! PLEASE HELP!

  9. Hi folks, i'm new here and i really don't know anything, so, how long does a k3/k4 visa really take? We are at the 4 month mark since the csc received our i-129f, and i have called them several times in the past two weeks, and every representative gives me a different answer. also, what is a touch? I have not received anything from uscis other than the receipt notices.
