A quick question any one can help.. I have sent the police certificate obtained from the local police station to NVC along with DS 230 forms.. However by interview time she will have the one from Passport office. Iam just worried whether this will result in a RFE from NVC. Please advice.

You should have refrained from doing illegal things with Immigration thats why the lawyer seems to be pissed off. Anyway get a new lawyer and Happy Holidays!!

VSC is currently working on Feb'08 petitions. Please be prepared to wait atleast another 6~8 months before approval.Thats because they only work on pay days!! )

Iam from Kolkata...You can get the police certificate from your local police station. Alternatively you may contact Regional Passport Office in Brabourne Road to issue a police certificate. Also I have one question.. Can you email the choice of agent form before receiving it from NVC? Please let me know.

Iam a Jan'08 filer at VSC. I got my approval on Nov6.. got to know this from the 1800# VSC option.Still waiting for the hardcopy.

The online status did not change. Pathetic System!! I just hope things are smooth in NVC.

Iam in the same boat. My application has recieved in VSC on Jan 14,08.,NOA1: Feb 15. Still no approval. I called the 1800# they sent a service request. Nothing heard so far. Really worried if they lost my application.

My case had not yet been transferred. Everytime I call they say its with in the processing time. Finally I was able to get hold of a officer at VSC. He told me to wait another 2 months for approval since they are working on Nov.07 cases.

God knows what will happen to this country!! Disgusting!!

VSC is currently processing Nov.07 applications. I filed my application in Jan.08 the officer at VSC told me last week to wait another 2 months before a approval. So June filers it could be early 2009 before you would get a approval with the way things are moving at VSC.

All applications which were moved to CSC are standalone I-130s only. Can someone please confirm this? My I-130 NOA1 date is 02/14/08 and not yet been transferred. Any help is appreciated.

Lets draft a letter and send it to NY times. I have seen articles in NY times have blasted USCIS/VSC for different type of wrong doings that effect people's lives. Hopefully if it published that can make some difference. I really wonder if any VSC employee look at these boards. Otherwise things would have improved by now. The whole system is so F#### d up. This is the only country where citizens are made to suffer!!
