Greetings,
I would like to ask for clarification and I will be glad if I can get a response.
I am Hepatitis B positive, and during my medical examination, the doctor indicated that I should not take the Hepatitis B vaccine because I am already exposed to the virus.
In the contraindication section, he wrote “chronic Hepatitis B.” Although I am not on any medication, as my case is still considered acute and I do routine tests every six months, the doctor explained that “chronic Hepatitis B virus” is the only option he could select on the form to indicate a medical waiver for not taking the vaccine.
My question is: Will my Hepatitis B status be a reason for visa denial during my upcoming interview with a consular officer? or make me inadmissible at the U.S. port of entry?.
I await response on this matter. Thanks.
