  1. The form is here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=b70f8875d714d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=7d316c0b4c3bf110VgnVCM1000004718190aRCRD ; both you and yopur co-sponsor will need to fill one out each.

You will need proof of tax filings for yourself and the co-sponsor for the last 3 years, and proof of current income (pay stubs or bank statement, letter from employer).

Tx a lot! For 2 people( myself and my fiancee) what is the income needed. My frind is in USA and has 2 kids and a wife. How much income would he need to show for the two o us?

I think he makes around 100k a year, I am not sure, but I will ask!

  2. Hello all,

Could you please tell me what do I need to do in order to invite to US a good friend from Romania?

Is it a standard type letter? Or an affidavit support letter? What documents do I need to send to my friend in order to have him in US as a tourist?

    Much appreciated,

    V

  3. No limit- if she has the money, she can sponsor an entire country to come here :)

There is an issue with some embassies not accepting co-sponsors for fiance visas though- which country are you from?

She fills in the I-134, same as your fiance, and then the I-864 once you are married and are filing for Adjustment of Status. She will need to show proof of her income- at least last years tax return- 3 years is better- and some paystubs. A letter from an employer would be good too. She probably knows all this, as she has done it twicer already.

    Hi again,

She is from Romania...I havent decided yet if I go for fiancee visa or for CR-1....I am still in Romania and I am thiking about getting

married here....I am still undecided yet..

Does the co sponsor has to fill in the I -134? I thought that only the I - 864?

    PS. Congrats on your twins!!

  4. Not quite how it works. First, the US citizen fiance/spouse isn't counted, but she (the co-sponsor) is, so yes, her household is 4. 125% poverty guideline for 4 is $27'937 (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=73c63591ec04d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD), so she'd have plenty of money is she really makes $80'000.

so as long as she makes enough money , she can sponsor 4 or more....is there a limit per year?

What form does she need to fill in? Does she need her income for the last three year as well?

    Thnaks a lot

  5. Depends on income, needs to count any people currently responsible for. For example they co-sponsored a K-1 visa, the K-1 then entered the USA and adjusted status, however they did NOT joint sponsor the green-card and did not provide an I-864, so are no longer responsible for that immigrant, so don't need to count them.

    tx for reply

Does anyone keep track as to how many she sponsored?

Lets say that she makes 80k a year and she is single. She sponsored 2 people already...so we add myself and my fiancee

    The poverty level is around 12 k....so 12 x 4=48k..

    Am I right?

  6. My wife and I were married in Bucuresti, and once I had all the documents from the marriage, I flew back to USA and immediately started the I-130 process. I'm a little fuzzy on your question, though. Are you asking if K-1 is faster than CR-1?

I think you need to define in your question the following:

    1) Faster than ________?

    2) Paperwork = ________?

    Hi Burebista,

What a warrior name you have..;)))

I think we both are in the same shoes as I intend to marry my GF here in ROmnaia and after that I would return to US and do the CR-1.

Fiancee visa seems to be longer and I like that as soon as she comesto US she will get her GC and could work right away as opposed to fiancee visa where I would have to start the AOS after she get to US.

    Where in US are you?

After you get married how long did it take to get your marriage certificate? IS that all you needed to start the I 130?

Thanks a bunch for all your input,

    V

  7. No, you cannot applyfor DCF if you are not a resident. If you just wish to be married in Romania, in that case get married as per yous wish and then make sure you do whatever is necessary there to get your marriage certificate(I mean get it offical documented in court).

You can return back to US and then you can start your CR1 process, which should ideally take anywhere from 6-8 months.

    Good luck... :)

So , what are you saying is that I can get married while I am in Romania and have my marrriage certificate recordet in a Romanian court and later on I can do the CR1 while I am in US?

    Thanks for any info,

    V

  8. Hello all,

I havent posted in a while and I would like to hear your take on my dilemma please!

I know that there are knowledgeable peeps in here who knows who I hope could help me out too.

I am a US citizen and I have two passports: one is US, the other is Romanian.

I met someone 4 months ago and as of now I am in Romania and I want to know what are my options.

If I were to marry my lady in Romania would the paperwork and time frame would be faster?

Do I have to stay in Romania as long as the paperwrok are being processed?

I heard that someone who got married in RO, got her GC in a few months.

I know that if I have to go back to US , I would have to do fiancee visa and later on to marry her in US and start the

paperwork in US for adjustment of status.

Thanks a lot for any info,

    Vito

PS. Initailly I posted this on K1 forum but I was advised to post in here as people who are posting here know more about this issue.

  9. Thanks a lot for you info...

A few more questions if you dont mind:

Lets say that I would get married in a week or so....what is my next step in terms of paperwork?

Do I have to stay in ROMANIA as long as the paperwork are being processed?

How long would it take for my bride to be to leave ROMANIA to USA?

From what I see it is easier to get married in Romania and have get her GC faster and it may rquires less paperwork?

    Am I right?

Once again, thank you very much for any input that you might have.

    Vito

  11. Hello all,

Could you please point me into the right direction and help me out with my situation please?

Almost 2 years ago I file I 130 for my son. I am a US citizen. Meanwhile my son got married and in a month or so he is expecting a child.

From what I read he falls into the third preference category as he got married.

Some folks over other immigration site suggested me this site as there are some very knowledgeable guys here who could help me out.

How do I add in my petition his wife and child? What form do I have to file again?

    Thanks again for reading!
