  1. Thank you for your response. If that's the case, I think they could tell us or let us know we need to pay more. The last email they sent us is that they would get back to us in a few days, so I guess this probably is not the reason.
  2. Thanks for your response! As far as we know, the denial wasn’t due to any oversight on their part. At this point, we’re thinking we might wait until there’s an actual request from USCIS and then decide how to move forward. The situation is pretty complex, and since they’ve already gone through all of our documents once, it feels like starting over with a new attorney would be a big step. Still, we’ll keep your suggestions in mind.
  3. Hello. We’re getting increasingly concerned about our experience with them. We paid the firm in full twice, and our case was denied the first time. After that, we waited 1–2 years with no meaningful updates on an issue that was supposed to be handled after the denial. We contacted them again in August of this year, but it has now been three months with no response. There’s nothing urgent we need to submit to USCIS right now, our case is still pending, but the lack of communication from the firm is really worrying. If anyone has worked with this firm before, could you share your experience? Are long delays or unresponsiveness common with them? Thanks in advance.
  4. It was worrying for us... I recommend looking for any further notice from the CIS. Good luck! @emroids88
  5. I hope you're all doing well. I'm writing to seek advice or insight from anyone who might have experienced a similar situation. Here's a brief overview of my situation: My spouse, a U.S. citizen, filed a family-based green card application for me with a priority date (PD) of August 8, 2022. We filed I130 and I485 together. I didn't submit the I-693 because I thought I would bring it to the interview. The USCIS gave a Courtesy Letter but hasn't asked for it yet. I previously held an F1 visa. I completed the biometrics appointment in September 2022. I received my EAD card in April 2023. The twist in the story is that, after a long period of silence and no updates, my husband got a notice in the mail asking him to complete a biometrics appointment. This seems unusual to me for a couple of reasons: I rarely saw anyone share any experience about a biometrics appointment for the petitioner. The only one I could find was back in 2009. Comparing our timeline to many others who have shared their experiences online, our processing seems to be taking considerably longer. Are there any potential reasons for this timeline and biometrics situation, and should we be concerned about any potential issues with our application? This journey has been quite confusing and stressful for us. Thank you in advance for your help and support!
