Just confirmed: No Contract Signed as of yet.

    • Upon arriving , she will have a 3 month training period. if she doesn't pass training, she will be demoted to LPN Status
    • I-140 Immigrant Green Card: Option to Pay for them Ahead of time ( b4 leaving the philippines) So as to have them upon entering
    • If she goes ahead & get her cards now, will she still have to go work for this employer, (In another state) or could she come to NC to work for another without penalty
    • E-3 I-140 Visa
    • She has her Interview Appointment, set for February 25th
    • She needs a copy of the FAQ questions as to what she can expect to be asked
    • Would like to know as to what she & the girls can expect during the interview

    Thanks

  2. Hi everyone,

I am sure that this has been covered in here at SOME POINT, but I can't seem to find the info that we need.

My girl is a Registered Nurse in the Philippines and has been in the NVC process since 2007, TRYING to come here. At first, by going through a dumb butt filipino lawyer in NY, She was accepted at a medical facility in NH, which agreed to a contract (at the time), to bring her here to the states to work for them, for a peroid of 3 yrs. They agreed to pay for her & her children (2 daughters) Airfare, 1st year of housing & $23/hr salary.

Since the time she started this process, her & I met & we are wanting to get married (But if need be, willing to live in Unholy Mattress Money) as her Ex refuses to pay for her Cenomar, (Divorce which is a wopping $4,000+ over there) and live here in NC at my place. I've been over there 3 times (Once a year for 2+ weeks for the last 3 years) & Love it

During all of this time, this lawyer has not presented her ANY of the Documentation (Communications) between either the NVC office or the Medical Facility, until just here recently. About 4 months ago, in which the lawyer stated that The Original contract is null & void because the Medical Fac will no longer pay for the Airfare or help with housing assistance, but will agree to still pay the $23/hr / 40hr week + any over time.

She just recieved a "COPY" of the letter from the NVC office stating that They are in the process of setting up an interview date, and on it, they have her listed as a Preference Catagory E3, which is an Employment-Based Immigrant Visa.

When she found out that they had gone back on their Orignal Agreement, She had instructed the Lawyer to make the change to a flat Citizenship visa instead, but obviously we can clearly see, that he didn't.

SOOOO, What we are wanting to find out is, what all will we need to do, once she & the girls get here, to go from Imigration worker visa to full citizen for all 3? (Full Step by Step, form by form etc would be nice)

The Yougest is 14yrs old & the Eldest is 19yrs old. & our goal is to once the Eldest as her papers to travel freely between the USA & the Philippines, she will return to the philippines to complete her Nursing School.

    Thanks

  3.

Do u mean a I-130 she filed 7 years ago?

When was the last contact with NVC? You need to be on the phone to them.

The Immigration Visa fee is $230 per applicant. And the $88 for Affidavit of support paid just once for all 3.

Is your wife a US citizen now?

A side note please report the lawyer to the ABA of your state. That is criminal what he did.

According to both my fieance & the lady at the Embassy, she filed for an I140 (from what I can remember) She is being sponsored by a Medical firm in NH. But there is a twist to all of this. Some how in her petition, she is able to file for full immigration status for both her & the girls. Once they are here in the states, and after she completes her contract with the firm, she can apply for citizenship for the thre of them.

You mentioned something about reporting the Lawyer to someone? to who & how ? I'm personnally tempted to making the trip to NY and give this guy a knuckle sandwich.

She was asking me last night, she was wondering, while she is waiting for her visa, can she & the girls apply for a tourist visa so as to come & see our new home here in NC without hurting her status or application?

I will be heading back to the States tonight so it may be a day or two b4 I can respond. So again, thank you in advance.

  4. Hi all,

Hopefully "someone here" can help shed some light on our current situation as it seems as though we;ve not only hit a brick wall, but also getting the run around.

As some of you may know, my gal is from the Philippines. She filed for an I-140 about 6 years ago after being promised a job with a medical firm in NH. Instead of just doing the work visa, she wanted to also bring her 2 girls, ages 17 & 13. She had hired a lawyer out of NY who is also filippino and up until recently, seem to have been doing a decent job. She paid him right at $4000.00, WHICH WAS SUPPOSE TO COVER EVERYTHING.

Well, now, almost 7 years later, we went to the US Embasy in Manila & they told us that the Nebraska Service center sent her lawyer an email to make payement for the immigration fees for her & her daughters back in May. & that is the last information that the embasy has. When she spoke to her lawyer back in February, he then told her that everything was out of his hands & that his job was done.

This is very upsetting not to mention extreamly aggrivating for both of us as we have absolutely no idea as to where to go from here. We have BOTH her Reciept # in which she recieved way back when as well as her Case # from the NVC which starts with MNL.

Can & WILL SOMEONE PLEASE!!! help to point us in the right direction so as we can know & see where our case truely stands? For right now, as it stands, it sounds like that the NVC is awaiting the combined Lawyer immigrant Visa Affidavit of support fee $405 immigrant visa fee for @ of her & her daughters & affidavit support fee of $65 @. All of this was "Suppose" to have included in what we've already paid to the Lawyer.

Where can we go on the web to research or see all of the info to her NVC Case #?

    Thanks in advanced

  5. Hi everyone.

we have a new problem & I do hope someone can truely be of some help.

After going over there & spending some great time with my SO, it is revealed that her EX was apparently married to another woman B4 he married her. Amyway, after she found out, she picked up the kids while he was away for work and wnet into hiding from him (from what I can gather, he was very abusive and obsessive)

What we are needing to find out is, HOW CAN SHE OBTAIN HER SINGLES STATUS? I've heard that it can cost upto as much as $4,000 USD OMG!!! that's way tooo expesive.

    Any suggestion or Ideas?

    Thanks

  6. I've read the info on the link how ever I must be stupid or something. I need to make ABSOLUTLEY sure that when I file the K1 Visa, the Boys are included & will also be accepted as I do not want to file & bring them here seprately. I will not separate the boys from their mother for any reason. I want to make sure that when she comes, so do the boys.

So if anyone has a step by step / line by line, that will ensure that I do everything right, the first time.

    Thanks

  7. Hi all.

I know that there is a HIGH probability that I've posted the question b4, as I remember someone here pointing me in the right directionand assisting me with the details in fuilling out which documents etc a few months back. How ever, due to an electrical storm, most of my electronics in the house are no longer with me. SO, Here I am having to basically, start from the beginning.

    Here is the situation:

    Me-US Citizen - Natual Born

    Her-From the Manila Philippines + 2 children. Ages 11 & 14 (Current Ages)

I would like to bring her & both boys to the USA at the same time & marry here

What info I need is: What forms do I need to be able to do this the most simpelist & ecconomical way possible?

    Currently I have:

    I-129f

    AR-11

    G-325a

    I-131

    I-134

    I-485

    I-693

    I-765

    I-864

For some reason, I am thinking that I will not eed ALL of these forms, however, there may be other forms that I am forgetting.

Can Someone here PLEASE Point out the right forms, their order of filing, what areas on those forms does she need to fill out (her Information & the Boy's information)

I am currently here in Manilla however I will be leaving this friday to go back to the states as my work yet again, call my name. I would love to be able to, b4 I leave here, get these forms, print them out & try & get as much of these filled out (her & the boy's info) so that I may have them with me there in the states & ready to be filed to help speed up the process as they are requested.

    Thanks.

If you should feel compelled to personally assist me based upon your own personal experiance, I welcome you to email me at jtaylo69_9@yahoo.com
