P. Novak signed for me also. Well, I sent in a second package that they received July 28 and they cashed my check yesterday August 12. I wasted a month on th elost petition, but I'm glad I sent in a replacement after only 4 weeks.

Sent in my petition June 23rd and no check cashed no NOA1 yet.

I just got off the phone with them and no record in their system. On the phone prompts it says it could take up to 30 days. Then I get a person on the phone and they claim that it can take up to 90 days! or it could be the case that the petition was forwarded to another service center, coz Vermont may or may not be very busy?

It's truly unbelievable that a packet received after another could be processed first. I tried to make the agent explain to me how this is possible, but really she had no clear answer.

My fiancee is also from the Philippines, n I made it a point to stay there for a few months and live with her to make sure that ya we could deal with eachother. Ofcourse not every one has those liberties. But what i can say to you is she needs to have her own life when she gets here. Send her to school or if she is already a professional make sure she finds work. She will be living in America so do your best to integrate her to America. Don't let her rely on all these other Pinays that came here and married foreigners as her only friends. If you don't think she will be capable of adjusting to your way of life, then it is a bad idea. Yes it's a risk, but if you're having second thoughts, then maybe it's not such a great idea for you at the moment. For me I can so WOW I am so in love with my woman. We have had many long serious conversations and we have been through bad and good. We already had our fights and stuff when we lived together so it wasn't like you said a vacation. I made it a point to do simple things with her and see how she reacted. We would just take long walks through Makati at 1 in the morning. It just flowed. Some days we just stayed at the condo and she read a book while I traded stocks. Without these simple things, I think I might be in the same boat as you. Coz ya, life ain't all fun and games.

If it makes u feel any better, the VSC received my application June 23 and still NOTHINGH!!! No NOA1 and no check cashed. This really sucks. I had a failed engagement before and I had my NOA 2 in 3 weeks, so this is killing me. Keep in touch with me and let me know what happens. My fiancee is also in the Philkippines so we have the same Visa Journey

Thanks for the info on that. Has anyone here filed multiple petitions? Any idea how long this holds up the process? Seems like a good idea on the governments part, coz I'm sure many people play games with these women, but my girlfriend is 100% in the loop about my past. If it adds say 2 months onto the process, then I'll just file 2 months earlier than I would have. What a life. If it's not one thing it's the other. And all these problems at 32! Yikes!

So, in 2005 I was engaged and brought my fiancee and her son here on a K-1 visa. Huge mistake, but luckily I found that out before I got married. I sent them home on the first plane I could find. Since then I have met a woman much better suited for me since them. We have been long distance dating (spent 3 months with her recently) for a year now. And talking marriage in 2009.

So.... my question is how will the government view this. I called the VSC when this happened to tell them she was leaving and basically they told me they didn't care. I thought there would have been some formal declaration or show of proof that she really did leave and not just become an illegal immigrant. I'm concerned this will come back to bite me. Other than that phone call, I have no proof she left.
