A new day has come! And I’m finally an U.S. citizen!!! You can call me now a fellow citizen…lol. Something striking in me: I’ve been living in the US for almost eight years now, today was only time that “The Star Spangled-banner” emotionally meant something to me. I felt deepened and broadened into American ideals of solidarity.
In brief, I responded to the appointment promptly at 7:00 am. The ceremony started at 8:00 am. And we went through the ritual phases of the ceremony, including speeches from three members of Orlando Seminole County Bar Associate. A very emotional period that brought tears on the eyes of a lot of people in the audience: when a young lawyer shared us her personal story and her appreciation of being an US citizen, referring to a struggled period her mom went through when she visited Philippines, her native country, back in 2005. She was unlawfully detained and imprisoned by the Philippines government for 14 months without trial. By the efforts of her daughter, senators and other faithful citizens, her mom was released and taken back to her adoptive country, the USA…
We later sworn in and received the Naturalization Certificate around 10:30 am. I registered to vote, drove quickly to the Social Security office to change the status of my record, made a copy of the certificate and ended up in the Post office to apply for the passport. Then I went to have a peaceful meal party with my Family members, some friends and two neighbors on my backyard.
Again, congratulations to everyone!!! We made it! Thank you 100 times for your support!

It's unbelievable & always a pleasure to see & feel all these beautiful people around this forum. This forum was my truly support & guide through this big accomplishment. Thank you for the affection, guys! Usually when people come back here is to get some help, not to give back. But that hypothesis becomes unverified on a large scale for July N-400 filers.
Thank you,

Yes, sir...thanks! God is always great. However, we forget this fact when we loose patience or we feel our hope has been kicked away from our expectation.

Another HAPPY DAY!!!!! IT'S HERE.........
I've received my oath ceremony letter an hour ago from the mail-man....to report on 4/30/09. God is great!!!
Congratulations to KynSilva & good luck to Sakura & Dave!

I know Im not happy. My wife wrote another email to the Senators office. I am going to keep pushing till I get an answer I like. They have no clue what the hell they are doing at that office. When I went there, last month I was told they have interviews every week. Now they are saying that they don't have limited interviews. This is getting crazy.
KyngSilva,
Never sleep until you get that oath letter. By the way, InfoPass seems to be more active tool to shake a deal. If you can, go to the service center every week. At least, they cannot stop you from coming in.

Happy Tuesday, guys!!! And again congratulations to Sakura!
My journey and perseverance are coming to an end. After an intense monthly battle, involving the senator's office, infoPass visits and unlimited calls to USCIS 800 number, my efforts are finally generated fruit. Today, I called USCIS 800 number again and again, to confirm that they have lately sent me the oath ceremony letter and I would be receiving it within two weeks… They said they could not disclose me when it was sent out…Amen! Amen! Amen!
Good luck to KyngSilva, Sakura & David. I believe we’re just a step way from touching down…

Through this trend, I've portrayed myself as a very pessimistic person. How I can help it when everything single piece of paper I received from USCIS, I had to tear it out from them. As I said, the battle continues...
Thanks guys for your warmed support!

These lines are conflitual with the practices in vogue at USCIS. Check them out:

KynSilva,
I went through the same process in writing to the Senator. But after their exchange with USCIS, they are saying that cases are processed in order they are received & that my case is among those files that are still being reviewed. The office promised me they will follow up everything month at least twice a month & keep me updated about the results. I Also have another InforPass scheduled on the March 20th. Hopefully, something good will come us very soon.
Thanks guys for your support!

What a load of bull kaka!!! They play those mind games with people, I don't understand why it would be a problem to go inquire about your case. That totally upsets me, that they would say that to you. Kat you should have told them that they shouldn't be telling people they will hear back by next Friday. The gaul of him to say that ####### to you. I don't put up with ####### like that. They are not doing us any favors by giving us our citizenship, we earned it, we played by the rules, we paid for it. They need to treat us with a little respect and diginity. Like moon stated. Call your congressman and find out what the heck is going on with your file.
Guys,
I understand your reactions. I've already started making queries to find out what are my best options right now. I will keep you posted. Thanks so much for your support.

Just FYI:
With an InfoPass today, I went to my District Office to find out about the status of my case. The officer, who assisted me, checked if any decision was entered into the system & astonishely asked me if I already had an interview. I said yes and provided him the interview results form. He took the sheet & said, "I'm going to find out the situation on the application". He left & showed up five minutes later & told me he could not see the officer because he was on the phase of an interview. He could not interrupt him. He made a copy of the result sheet & then told me he would leave a note for the interviewer officer to look into it. He suddenly prompted the vibe saying "you should not be making inquiring about this case until if you do not hear from us for over 120 days". I said "OK, sir! I just wondered since he had said that he would be making a decision on the case on the Friday of that week". Then he said, "You need to make an inquiry only after May 20". I said, "Copied, sir! Thank you". That was my horrible InfoPass matinee! If God could just make an end to this psychological torture...

i suppose it's only fitting, i was the last to file in July and will probably be the last to take my oath. =)
No, KyngSilva. It seems like you've already forgot the normal trend on this forum. The forgotten and the last man here is me. I won't be surprised to be the last standing man to end this journey. I belive I will get my oath letter in March.
Please wish us a good luck.
Thanks!

Actually scheduled at 2:00 PM, I arrived earlier around 1:35PM at the Service Center. As soon as I checked in, I was called for the tests of English and U. S. history and government, which lasted about 2 min. and I was ordered to be seated and wait to be called for the second process of the interview, the actual interview. After almost 2hrs 15 min. of standing by, I was called by an officer who was very smiling and polite to me (he greeted me & held me the door…I said “thank you, sir”). He requested my green card, my passport and my DL that I provided to him. He sworn me in. Then he went through my file (a constitutional pile ….a big pile) and counted all the NO’s on application (there were five no’s), including the NO of having any children question. About the number of days I had spent outside the country, I rectified him that I traveled on December 2008 to Canada for five days. He asked me if I had never been cited. I said yes I had, twice (one no-left turn and one speeding citations), which I took classes for. He said OK. He took me back to the period I was under F1 visa. I showed him my subsequent bachelor and master degrees with honor letters from the Deans. He said my English and my prestation at school impressed him. At a time, he seemed to be confused in digging through the file. I thought of giving him everything I had brought with me. He requested the proof of marriage. I gave him a big file bills, bank statements, health, car & life insurance statements, tax returns, leases and others (new & old). He then ordered me to put my files in order and set them aside, which I complied to. He then set me to print and sign the bottom of N-400 form and another for stating, “You passed the tests of English and U.S. history and government.” and “USCIS will send you a written decision about your application”. He finally told me “I will review the application on Friday and make a decision. Do you have any question?” I said no, sir. Thank you very much!
Thanks everyone. Good luck to all of you, who still are having nightmares during your sleeps!

I think all July filers have a good chance to become citizens by the end of the year!
Probably for most of people, but I'm starting to worry about 5 , who doesn't receive the Interview schedule letter, yet.
NYCGAL may receive it for christmas gift since NYC is known place for slow processing because they have a lot of immigrated people.
NYC is melting pot, and most exciting place for themselve incluing, but not limited to, villeage and other SOHO areas. ^^
St. Paul is the area for slow processing, too.
It was well known by NickD's report for a while.
But what happened to others ?
Are they too busy, so can not tell us their process even though they receive the certificate of naturalization already?
I hope so.
Otherwise, it may be delay from USCIS DO's slow processing and/or FBI namecheck process.
I hope everything goes well with July filers, so we can share the cheer-up and holiday spirit.
*P.S. : I may be slow for this week, since I'm enjoying nice weather here in Los Angeles for this week business trip.
Wisconsin weather became to remind the winter weather again.
No, no, no. Not because I am too busy to report my process. I have not gotten anything yet since my fingerprints back in August. I am from CT. Hartford office is the 2nd slowest in the country. 14 plus months according to the update by USCIS. Even NYC only takes 10 months!!! I will definitely be the last one from the July filers here. "Don't forget to come back and visit me here next year until summer time".
No. I'm also impatiently waiting for that notice. I live in Florida. I really hope that things will go quick and merrier for the rest of us too! I'm not surprised that I will be the last to be added to the list as having case complete. I have to always fight for things other people get easily rewarded for. However I'm still very optimistic & stoic.
Good luck everyone & congratulations!

Yandresyuk,
Your DL is NOT an official immigration backup. Instead your GC & your foreign passport are good proofs in processing your N-400. So you should relax & get ready for your interview. You may even leave your DL home the day of the interview. Your passport & your GC constitute a primilary id.
Good luck!
I was so happy that I got my interview notice, but now I am thinking I might need a second name check, as I did not include my entire patronymic (just the first initial) on my application. It does not appear on my GC nor my foreign passport but I have it on my driver's license I am worried it will delay my case processing. Right now I am not sure why I did not include it - I am thinking cause I do not consider it my "middle name" as it is a patronymic (don't ask me how I got it on my driver's license - I received my DL waaay before they were requiring proper proof of id). Worried!!! -
Wow! As of today, about 55% of the cases from our forum has been processed in approving the interview and/or receiving interview notices. Good luck to everyone and congratulations to the first approvee, moonhunt!
God bless!
