Well for all those waiting in Dallas, it will prolly take 8 weeks before you get your appt..but just to give you a heads up my hubby tried to do a walk in twice at the North Dallas location and both times they would not let him do it..they seem to be understaffed and that might be what is leading to the long wait for the appt letter..also wanted to give you a little hope, one of our friends waited just as long for her biometrics but when she finally did them her EAD and interview letter both arrived one week later so we are hoping the same will happen for us..hang in there guys!! Oh one more thing when we called USCIS exactly 8 weeks to the date of our NOA they told us when our biometrics appt date would be although our letter had not arrived..It arrived 2 days later.

We FINALLY got our Biometrics letter today. We are scheduled for Sept 24th at the North Dallas ASC. Its been 8.5 weeks since our NOA date before to receiving this appt letter.

NOA1 = July 22nd. Still no Bio letter... Put in a service request last tuesday, still waiting for news. I need to start working so bad, i'm getting frustrated with this stupid process.

AandB, I found out Dallas is at full capacity for Biometrics. So we all have to wait until there are openings. Our NOA date is July 2nd so we have been waiting 2 months.

When I got my letter a few weeks ago to retake my fingerprints they also put a new SRC# on it but its not a number you can look up online. My case is still tied to the old SRC #. You could always call and ask but I don't think its a big deal.

I just discover that under my new I-551 stamp in my passport, I have been given a new SRC number. Is this a typo or is this because I have been relocated to the USCIS district office?

I retook my fingerprints almost 3 weeks ago and since then I have had NO touches on my case. Its good to hear someone else in this group was requested to do them again.

Got a letter requesting I appear for Biometrics again. Hopefully once that's done they'll be able to approve the application.

Do you know when we were transferred to CSC?

how did they confirm it? did they just hand out a csc number or did they actually tell you when and how you were transferred? i wonder why and when this happened!

Hi,, when the USCIS rep. gave me the service request numer, it ended with CIC. So I asked here if CIC means that my application is processed in California, which she confirmed. She told me no doubt about that.

Hey Cdn_in_Texas did you ever get a request to do your biometrics again. You have the same NOA date as I do so I am assuming your biometrics have been in the database 15 months so you should have received a letter to retake them....did you?

Well, they've had our RFE package for 20 days now. I keep logging in daily to see what's up, but the case hasn't been touched. Maybe next week... Hopefully they didn't re-route it to California.

I dont know when or how it happened but those of us that are remaining on this list are all in California. To be honest maybe some of the people who got approved from our Loser list were also in California but never knew that. I honestly think that they sent generic letters telling everyone that they had been transferred to Vermont but some people were transferred to California...oh well.....

So I called USCIS today and the dude I was talking to tells me that my case is in California. I told him that could not be right because I received a letter from them telling me they were transferring it to Vermont. Well he seemed pretty certain that it was transferred to California and even told me that it was probably an error that they made in the letter but my case was in California....So now I have no idea where my case is..I thought it was Vermont unless they just sent out a whole bunch of letters that said Vermont but actually sent some cases to California as well.....WHO BLOODY KNOWS!!!

I received a letter from USCIS 2 weeks ago telling that that my fingerprints had expired in their database and I needed to retake them. My NOA date is 02/28/2007 so obviously it has been over a year since i took my biometrics and I understand that they expire after 15 months from the database. Has anyone received this letter and how soon after receiving this letter were you approved?

Okay guys, for some reason i no longer even bother to check my status online or even come on this forum. I am just so irritated with these USCIS people in Vermont that i decided to take a break from all this...Now guess what I got this weekend, a letter from them telling me that i need to re-appear for fingerprints..Just to quote them:-

"Your fingerprint card on file with the USCIS has expired and in order for USCIS to continue processing your application, it will be necessary to have your fingerprints re-taken."

What rubbish is all this. I have been waiting for 1 year 4 months and all they can tell me is that my fingerprints have expired and I need to re-do them....Has anyone else gotten this letter? And the notice came from TSC not Vermont.

James I am still around...i was out of the country for 5 weeks. I went to my home country and just got back yesterday. I had to use the extension stamp to get back in. Congratulations you got your card, can you believe I have not received any correspondence yet, not even an RFE...this sh*t is so frustrating.

Probably a good place to repost the list. Anybody seen dallaschic? S/he hasn't been around for a month.

Just came on to say that I reveived my email from CRIS informing me that my card was ordered on May 9th. My file was transfered to VSC on Jan 30.

Congrats Rolltide. May I ask what the first letter of your last name is and that of your spouse? I want to see if the alphabetical order theory still stands.

I am beginning to doubt tis alphabetical thing. Its Wednesday and neither James nor I have heard anything because they should be handling the "W"s by now. ####### and I am leaving the country on the 13th of May. I had hoped to have the card by then.

I am curious when the expiration dates are on the extension letters for all the people that are getting approved.

Good to see so many approvals. I just don't understand what order they are getting approved in because March and April NOAs seem to be getting approved and I am a February NOA and have not yet been approved. All the same at least there is hope now, I just wish they would do it according to NOA dates.

Can you apply for citizenship after the 90 day mark if you are still married and have your 10 year card? Or can it only be during the 90 day period?

I should also add that my passport is expiring in 2 months but since I am going home I will be getting a new passport while I am there. Can they put a stamp on a passport that is about to expire? When returning I will have both my new and old passport. Also do I need to show them proof of travel tomorrow?

They can and they will stamp the passport, it has not expired. When you do get new passport, you keep new and old one together, and when you re-enter the USA, you present both, the valid one for ID, and the expired one for the I-551 stamp.

Even if/when they do stamp a passport that is about to expire, the stamp would only be good until the expiration date of the passport. Plus you have no idea if the country that issues the passport will require that the old one be given up.

The best bet in this situation would have been the I-94 with the stamp.

My country gives you back your passport. You get to keep the expired one as well as the new one so I will be able to show them both passports when i come back in.

My NOA is dated February 28th and my letter of extension is expiring on May 10th and I need to travel to my home country for a wedding in April and will be returning after my extension letter expires. I have made an infopass appt at TSC to see if they can put a stamp on my passport. My question is will they give it to me? Has anyone gotten the stamp because their letter is expiring? A friend of mine was telling me that they tend to refuse to stamp your passport unless its an emergency.
