Hello Everyone. I hope that everyone's journey with the K visa is going well.
I have gone through the K-visa journey and now I reside with my husband in the united states. We are happily married and we are expecting a baby.
The I-485 application has been moving slowly. I have done my fingerprints and Now I recieved a letter saying that I need to do my medical examination and vaccination. I went to the Doctor today and drew some blood and performed the TB skin Test which are ok with me being pregnant. But unfortunetly, I only need do perform 2 vaccines which are the Tetnus and Gardisal. The doctor said that I cannot take them because I am pregnant.
Now since I am going to have some pending vaccinations due to my pregnancy. What happens to the application? does it remain pending until I deliver my baby and then do the vaccinations?
Does that mean that I won't get my Green Card and possibly have to file again and do the medical examination all over again?
My health and the baby's health is more important than any paper work, I just want to make sure that I am not going to be running in circles for couple years or so.
If you went through K-1 process, you DO NOT have to do medical examination again.
As for vaccines, most likely you will get a blanket waiver because of pregnancy.
If your current civil surgeon says otherwise, stop paying him and ask another one...
This should not be reason for any delay in processing your paperwork.
Ok...I understand that he will give a blanket waiver because of the pregnancy. But you are saying that this should not keep my status pending until I take the vaccinations after i have my baby. Which means that they will continue processing and I will get my Green Card.

I have my I129F visa approved from Vermont office and NVC and was sent to the embassy. The embassy contacted my fiance and told her to fill out all the paper work and do her medical examination and once she is done...send an email to the embassy and they will make an appointement.
Question: when I sent the paper work to Vermont, I sent more documents such as I134 "affidivit of support", bunch of photos, my fiance police and indivisual recorded translated. I knew what they are going to ask for and I had them done earlier ...so I decided to send them with my application to Vermont. Now they gave her a list of documents that she needs to have for the interview and some of these documents have been sent with the application.
Do I need to redo them? When u send a file to vermont or any office...do they send or transfer the whole file to the right embassy? I really don't want to take a chance for them to ask my fiance for more documentation.
Anyone gone through this situation?????/
please let me know

Yesterday, after a long hard working day. I received an email from the USCIS telling me that I got approved:
EMAIL: "On April 7, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service"
They received my application on Jan 30 2008 and I was mailed a notice NAO1 couple days later.
QUESTION: Do I need to do anything now??, I guess i am waiting for my NOA2 Hardcopy to be mailed to me to see what is going to happen next.
I noticed that some of you have tracked their application throughout the whole process......are they going to issue me another receipt number or they will notify me once the application arrives to the right location.
Please let me know

I bet that there are a lot of frustrated people out there going through what I am going through. I sent my I129F application in January and I got NAO1 letter on January 30th. I haven't heard from them since. It seems that mine was touched once on a Sunday "WEIRD". I just want to make sure that some people out there are in the same boat as me.
Some of you guys that filed at the same time as me, did any of you got approved? Is there a way to expedite the process..
HELP!!!!

The Vermont office recieved my I-129F on January 30. I recieved my NAO1 10 days later and now still waiting on my NAO2 approval.
Anyone out there filed at the same time I did and got his/her NAO2 approved yet?
Even though they all say that Vermont office is faster than other offices, my cousing got his K1 visa approved last year in 2.5 month from the time he sent it to Vermont office till the time his fiance had it in hand.
It seems that some people are lucker than other even though I thought they process the application in the order they get them.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Just wanted to know if anyone filed for K1 visa to Vermont Office in January 2008. I filed mine and got my NOA1 end of January and still waiting for NAO2. Any idea how long it could take to get NAO2 approval?
I know it is a little too early, But I want to stay in touch with someone else that is in the same puddle as I am.
Anyone?

Vermont Service Center is known for speedy processing and approval so it is very likely that you will get the NOA2 anytime soon. It is not advisable to plan for anything until you really got the visa in hand. You will never know what could happen... There are cases who get stuck with FBI namecheck at NVC stage and administrative review at consulate stage.
In my own experience, my then fiance and I planned everything ahead of time. We already got confirmed wedding date set 2 mos. before my interview. My wedding gown was being made and I wasn't even here in the US yet. He booked a flight for me 3 weeks after my interview, without thinking and worrying about the possibility that the interview won't be successful. Thank heavens, it was a success and got the visa 1 week after. And that's when everything happened so fast I didn't even get the chance to catch my breath. When I finally got here, we were so stressed out and running like chickens with its head cut-off with all the final wedding preparations. The wedding turned out wonderful, everybody was happy, we were so happy but things happened so fast I couldn't remember who came to our wedding.
My point here is, when you already set a date, it may turn out successfully but you will be so stressed out trying to make things right.

I have not set a date yet, But I am hoping in August. Now as far as the NAO2 approval, I feel that It would not take that long to have it in hand. Thanx for the advise

Hi Guys, I submitted my I129F to Vermont office end of January 2008, and I recieved my NAO1 couple days later.
Is anyone in the same boat with me for that time frame? and when do you think I will expect my NA02 i.e approval?
I am planning on Getting married in August and I am hoping that this is enough time to get the visa in hand.
I have also heard that Vermont Office has been pretty quick with the I129F applications, but looking at the timeframes on USCI website, they are still working on August 2007 applications.
Please give any insight or input on my current situation from your previous experiences.
Thank you and good luck to everyone

in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

Zee Bee, Thank you for your reply. But I guess I did not get my question answered.
If vaccinations could not be done due to pregnancy, then doctor will fill out a waiver form along with the sealed envelope.
Does that create a hold on my application, or they continue processing and give me the Green Card.
