  1. I included a cover letter stating I would prefer Fairfax office handle my case. But it literally took 4 months to get there. I had to keep calling to check where my case was handled at. I even called military hotline to request it transferred to Fairfax, regardless, they still told me to wait bc I already had the request included in my appointment. So there’s nothing they can do for me. My case stayed at NBC for 3 months without sending me a receipt, then Fairfax office received it a month later and it still took 2 months to confirm my interview. If you didn’t have the request included in yours, you should send a physical request letter to Fairfax office’s mailbox with your receipt number. This is what the agent told me. I hope this helps!
  2. Well, I understand. I applied for jobs 3 times and I got rejected bcs I wasn’t American citizen yet. So I have been unemployed the whole time here.
  3. Thank you for asking! They finally contacted me after a month I posted this. Then it took them a month and a half to confirm my interview, which drove me insane. I had to call the military line again to put out a request of updates of my interview. Eventually, I got interviewed and did my oath in April @Fairfax office.
  4. Well, you must get your name on your spouse’s PCS order first. Without it, it’s impossible to obtain SOFA visa or do anything else. SOFA visa requires proof of green card. I called USCIS to expedite my case but they said no and required my husband call them himself. So I got my husband contact military hot line uscis from Ramstein Air Base and explained our situation. Fortunately, they approved my case within a month without interview and I received my green card a month after. I contacted this lady from Passport Office at Fort Sam base, Houston and she arranged an earliest appointment for me within the same week I emailed her. I showed her my green card, PCS order with my name, EMFP clearance and myvector thing Eventually, I got my SOFA stamp delivered to my mailbox literally a week after that. I finally finished my journey and just obtained my certificate of naturalization a couple of weeks ago. So I’m happy to help. Message me if you have any other questions!
  5. Hello.

I saw one of your responses about how you applied N400 for your spouse under INA 319b and requested expedite she having a hard time getting employment due to not being a US citizen.

I'm also in the same situation. If possible, may I see your letter of expedite as reference? Thank you.

  6. So far I contacted military line and the agent told me my case is being processed at Washington DC field as I requested in my application. How can I further request for expediting my case when my husband still hasn’t PCS out yet?
  7. I'm a military spouse and currently stationed in Germany. I got my conditional green card on October 2023 then I joined my husband in Germany on Jan 2024. On Aug 19, 2024, I filed N400 under 319(b) and mailed it to Chicago Lockbox. 60 business days passed and I didn't receive any receipt of notice. So I contacted them and luckily got my case number. I immediately emailed Fairfax office (WASNN400.OVERSEAS@DHS.GOV) to transfer my case to their office, however, I haven't received any response from them. I contacted USCIS contact line couples of time asking about transferring my case to Fairfax office. All of agents I talked to insist that I must send a letter of transfer request directly to Fairfax office. After I mentioned that I included a cover letter of transfer request in my application, they told me to wait =.=. For some reason, it took USCIS 4 months to send out my receipt after I made at least 10 phone calls and 5 e-requests of non-delivery of receipt. I recently received my receipt of notice in Jan 2025 and noticed that it was issued by NBC at Kansas even though I included request of transferring my case to Fairfax office. My ROC window is opened in July 2025 and if I don't get scheduled for interview by then, I must file for I-751. My spouse and I are planning to move back to the states as soon as I get my citizenship. The longer we stay in Germany, the worse it hurts our finance because I couldn't get a job in base due to not being a US citizen. I appreciate a lot if anyone can come up with any solutions to deal with this. It's such a big hassle when I must drive to base after 1500 just to make a phone call to USCIS.
  8. Updated: -10/12/2023, my husband contacted USCIS from AF Base, Germany and requested for expedition. The request is submitted. -10/19/2023, I-130 and I-485 were approved. -10/26/2023, I received 2 year green card. Thank you everyone for helping me!!! I hope this post help anyone who has similar case.
  9. Hello, I am 24F Vietnamese and married to 24M US citizen. I have stayed in US since 09/2017 under F-1 visa. I started dating my spouse since 2021 and we got married in 08/2022 - a month before he was enlisted in Air Force. We filed I-765, I-130 and I-485 through a service agency 2 weeks before BMT. My spouse got PCS order to Ramstein, Germany and of course, I am included in his order. Before leaving to Germany, he tried to get SOFA for me, however, they would not stamp my passport until I have approval notice of I-130. And he left to Germany without me since June 2023. I'm currently in medical program and going to graduate this December, then ready to join him asap. So I have tried to submit expedite request for I-130 through MILITARY HELP LINE, Emma, online service. Despite the reason of the overseas PCS, they said I am not eligible to submit the request. I saw some cases similar to mine got expedited within a couple months. My husband will be so desperate if I couldn't join him. PCS to Germany is my idea and he's being suffered staying there without me. Any advice for my case? Thank you so much in advance.
