Looking to live and work permanently together with my UK girlfriend ASAP. Which would be faster: getting married while she is here on an ESTA and beginning the IR-1 after she returns, or just getting engaged and then starting the K-1?

if your goal is to be together ASAP maybe CR1. Our K1 took 16 months from the day we started the process until I got to the final interview (Nov 2022- April 2024). Best of luck! -
hi everyone, after receiving the pkt 3 from the embassy, I've been trying to schedule an interview and pay the fees. The website always shows "no appointments available" and advises to come back at a later date. For those of you who have already scheduled an interview in Naples: do you have any tips? thank you! chiara

hello, i understand the overthinking part - we've all been there. however, at USCIS they're looking for proof of an authentic relationship so I wouldn't worry too much (including the amount of evidence, they probably get this from every petition). also, I've noticed that a lot of cases have different timelines, some are faster, others are slower. it took us almost 14 months to get the NOA2, but other couples was less than 1 year. best of luck to you and remember that being patient is key
