Not mad. Sorry if it came over that way. There is nothing you can do to overcome the impact of the relatives overstay on your application. You need to demonstrate to the Interviewing officer that your risk of overstay is v v low. Strong ties to your home country are the best evidence. If you are not a permanent resident in Aust then being on a temporary visa there isn’t a great start. But.. You file the application.. pay the $$ and go to the interview   That’s the only way you will know ..

Wish the answer was better .. but ..  good luck

Thank you so much. Really appreciate it. 🙏🏻

Lying on a visa application …. Do not do it. Do not .. do not.

Will this mean you are refused a tourist  visa .. maybe. It’s called consequences and unfortunately often we face consequences of other peoples actions. 🤬

Lie on your application .. not only visa denial but a ban for misrepresentation.

Hi! No need to be mad. If you re read my post, I said there that I know I have to declare. My question is how can I increase my chance to get approved. Thanks for being helpful.

  3. Hi. I am planning to apply for a US Tourist Visa this year. I am 29 years old, working full time in Australia (not a permanent resident) and South East Asian passport. My mom, who was a tourist visa holder in the US, overstayed there for more than 5 years now. What should I do with my application? I know I need to declare it but how can I increase my chance to get an approval. I just want to travel for 2 weeks.
