thank you but do i have to have that I-551 stamp in my passport?

So we've had our interview as regards AOS and I was approved but didn't get my passport stamped with I-551. The lady who conducted the interview printed a paper stating that I received AOS for 2 yrs time and then will have to fill I-751 to prolong it for 10 yrs. Do I have to get the infopass and came to the office to request an I-551 stamp or I can go to Ukraine without it?

If someone had been in this situation please clarify? Thank you.

We haven't applied yet I must say we almost gathered all the paperes. So my question is will I not be facing deportation because we haven't applied for green card before 26th of Jan. Please help. My fiancee has her K1 interview on October 22. She will be traveling from Poltava to Kyiv probably on the 20th. Are there any good hotels or apartments near the embassy? She does not know Kyiv well and she is very worried about where she will stay. Any advice from people who have been through the process would be most welcome.

Apartments will be much more cheaper than hotel rooms as far as I know. You can check www.rentapartments.com. It has a russian version. They can meet you and take you to the apartment. It's better to contact them on the phone.

Last time I was there, US embassy in Kiev used FedEx for passport deliveries. You can't change the designated courrier, unfortunately. Having passport delivered on Monday is not that likely, considering the weekend. If you are trying to buy tickets and stuff, I strongly advice to wait for visa delivery. Just three month ago my sister was there and her visa was delievered in four days, while one of her friends who had the interview on the same day had to wait for two weeks since they had a visa printer problem.

Just want to know if it's possible to arrange a DHL delivery of passport from a US embassy in Kiev. As I understand DHL is the quickest mail and therefore if provide Kiev address then it can be quick. Say the interview is on Friday and if everything turns great I would have the passport on Monday. What do you think??? Is it possible??? Please, can anybody give a distinct answer? Thank you.

I would like to address to all who went through US embassy in Kiev, Ukraine. I know that they deliver passports with visa stamped through couriers. So my question is if I stay in Kiev after the interview for some time and I'll explain to the person in the embassy; then, can they make it quicker (with the delivery), because I'll stay in Kiev (in my aunt's place) and ask them to deliver it to the Kiev address. Can somebody give me the answer or someone went through this then please tell me.

I just need the passport real quick if it's possible of course. Thank you for the reading.

The passport is delivered to the address that YOU put on the delivery ticket... If you put your Aunt's address, it will be delivered there...

My wife was going to be gone visiting her parents and put a different address and all was good.. the person named on the delivery ticket is the only one who can accept delivery and must provide ID.

FWIW, she even had it delivered to a different person...

Help me with this, please. We sent the petition 12th Feb 08 and then after approx 3 weeks it was turned back because there wasn't the photos and a letter of intent. So we gathered those and sent again Apr 1st. My question is can it be put in that line in Feb or it will be put in the new line in Apr. Has anyone went through such situation. I just wanted to share the great news that there's finally an light at the end of the tunnel for us October CSC filers! I just got my NOA2 this evening! After only 4 months!!!! I was so excited around 5pm I got a touch, then I checked again at 7:30 and I had the approval email!!!

Hopefully our May 24th tennative wedding date in the USA will come true after all! I hope so because we met in May of last year so it would be kind of special to us to get married a year later in the same month.

So to those who have been this far... what do I need to get next? I know I need my tax documents and employment letters. All my proof of relationship. She has everything translated into english already. I plan to go out there for two weeks when the interview is scheduled and I'll be attending the interview with her in Bangkok. Any helpful hints/suggestions is appreciated.

I feel like knowing nothing about case numbers. I came to the translation office and they told me they need a case number to mark on the translation documents. I didn't know what to say and I told I ain't got any and left. I would like somebody to help me to get to know what case number they need that with a 13 numbers or what??? Please don't judge me as stupid. I saw a KEV-1 document and there's this case number there. Is that supposed to be the same case number as on those translation documents. Please help me. Thank you.

Unless Kiev is specifically requesting it, the employer letter does not need to be notarized.

My husband submitted my employer letter during his interview. Nothing was said about it.
