It will be very fast. Once he submit the PCC, the decision will happen pretty soon. Read the paper the Consulate handed over. If there is any specific date to submit it, act before the date. That's important!

Since your wife is LPR sponsor, it will take more time. USC sponsor can get the approval in 4 to 6 months time. But, LPR sponsor's can take around 2 years and all. Keep an eye on LPR timings, it might change as well.

I think you can enter Mumbai Consulate where your husband applied for the immigrant visa. This form is your husband's form.

Wayne, Everything is fine here. Glad to hear you, Claudia and your son are doing great! Not yet in touch with Richie. We moved to NJ just 3 weeks back and just settled down. Our little one's 1st b'day is next week and FIL is visiting us for few days.

I read your post and it looks like Texas not allowed you to live as married couple since the spouse is 'first cousin'. Either you relocate to another state where this marriage is legal and update the address with the consulate or hire a lawyer to get more advice on this.

I know it is real pain for Consulate wait now in Egypt. Glad you and your family were well during this crisis. Your best bet is either wait until the Consulate re-opens or get the advice from Dept. of State at 202-663-1225. To talk to a live person, press 1 then 0.

No, the packet4 from the consulate is just informational. It will have original interview appointment letter and medical and VFS steps. Proceed as per it.
